AMC Javelin 1970 Description

You are bidding on an extremely rare, ully restored 1970 AMC Javelin SST 390 Mark Donohue Edition with 116,792 miles on the body showing on the odometer. I am listing this car for my friend Tony, ho acquired the car around 2002 and then performed a frame-off restoration at a full service body and mechanical shop he ran here in Northwest Indiana for decades. He is now relocating to Florida, o is selling this beautiful car as well as three other muscle cars he has restored; a 1965 Impala convertible, 1964 Impala Coupe, nd a 1972 Chevelle SS. Please see my other listings for descriptions of these cars. This car has always been stored indoors and not driven in rain/snow. It is located in Demotte, N, bout an hour south and a bit east of Chicago.

This car has had a compete restoration, ith all sheet metal stripped to bare and professionally painted with PPG paint and clear coat. The interior upholstery, arpet and headliner are new, nd the car has new tires on factory rims. The front end and brakes are also new.
The engine is an extremely powerful 401 cu. in. AMC with 535HP and solid lifters, ith less than 2,000 miles on it since the total rebuild. It is mated to a 4 speed manual Muncie transmission, nd it is VERY fast!
In addition to the 401 engine the car comes with the 390 cu. in. AMC engine too--as shown in the pictures. That engine has also been rebuilt and in fact has not been run since the rebuild.
This car is VERY hard to find in this condition, nd Tony has upwards of $40,000 invested in it, ut given his move to Florida he is offering it for sale in this NO RESERVE auction.

PLEASE NOTE my original listing showed the 16,792 miles on the odometer, ut there is no space for 100,000 and Tony confirmed it is likely 116,792 on the body, ut both engines are fresh rebuilds with no miles post rebuild on the 390 and less than 2,000 on the 401.
