AMC Javelin 1974 Description

***No Reserve** Highest Bidder Wins! A Real No-Reserve Auction !!!
You're looking at a 1974 AMC Javelin barn find (actually a garage find) I purchased from the second owner who had owned it since 1975. She drove it every day to work until she parked it because she bought a Honda for better gas mileage. It had been in hibernation in the garage since 1991. The odometer reads 93,489 but the actual mileage is unknown. I cleaned the gas tank, ut in new rubber lines, new battery, park plugs, resh oil and oil filter, rake master cylinder, ear wheel cylinders and rear brake hose. The car has front disc brakes. It has brand new BF Goodrich T/A radials, 25/70/14's and new lug nuts on freshly polished Western Wheels which are dated 1979. Also recent front end alignment.
I also had the paint buffed and the interior professionally detailed. It has one repaint over the original paint. The paint is shiny and looks good with some imperfections. The passenger side fender was repainted at one time and looks a different color upon close examination. It has some small dings and a small dent on the fender which could be fixed by the dent tech people with no body work required. No rust under the vinyl top. The vinyl has some small scuffs on it, o tears or peeling as it's always been garaged. The glass is all good and the windows roll up and down nicely. The grill is really nice, o cracks. New steel rear bulls eye emblem. No rust in this car, ero rust, ven under the battery box. A true California blue plate car.
It has factory power steering and air conditioning (air condition is not hooked up). Looking closely at the rear shocks, noticed the driver's side has been moved. I don't know if this is a factory recall or what it means, ut it was professionally done, hoever did it. I'm sure it will drive better this way. Check out the bracket in the trunk and the under side of the shock area in the pictures. The motor and transmission look to me as if they have both been rebuilt. The owner did not remember when or at how many miles. It doesn't smoke, o knocks and no leaks at all. It has dual exhaust which sound great. The choke even works. When I had it on the lift, pressure washed the whole underneath.
The aluminum tag on the door reads:
Body 028222Model 7479-7Trim 421QPaint E9 - BK E12031Z
The sticker on the door says: Jan 74
The interior is very nice. No rips in the seats; however the material in the front seats is a little different than the material on the rear seat. The carpet is nice, ot faded or ripped. The headliner and visors are in great shape. No cracks in the dash pad but it is a little warped in the speaker area. The clear plastic on the gauges is a little faded. No cracks in the steering wheel. Even the old Pioneer stereo works. The console is nice, ot broken. The console door is a little warped on the front edge. Includes the original AMC owners manual.
If you need more information (a walk around description) or more specific pictures, ou can email me or call me, ike, nbsp;at (760) 519-3478. You're also more than welcome to come look at the car.
To sum it up, his car is a nice survivor. Very close to original condition and well preserved. It's hard to find one in this shape! Make sure you check out the video!!
I also have a 1977 Lotus up for auction this week!!!
