Buick Skylark 1963 Description
Up for sale is my all original numbers match 1963 buick Skylark Convertible. Rare 215 cubic inch 200 H.P. all aluminum V-8 coupled to the original Borg Warner Super T-10 Four Speed. GM's first attempt at the muscle car industry. Completely Stock front to back she just went through a thorough 2 year restoration. The original drive train had 70K mileage and ran fine so it was left alone. Starting with a 99.5% rust free non undercoated car body (which in itself is unusual) we went as far as to completely disassemble and paint all removable body components. The floor and trunk pans (which were basically perfect) and the entire unibody was stripped and re-painted. This includes removal and replacement of all seam sealer throughout the entire vehicle. There is NO bondo on this car - anywhere. She was then repainted the original color red and the door panels and carpet replaced. Those are the original leather seats shown in the pictures. No, shes not perfect and I did manage to put a small ding in the hood and I have been driving her so there is a chip here and there. I also did not re-chrome every part of the car as I built her to drive - not sit and just look like a pretty trailer queen. She received a complete new front end from balljoints to idler arm, all new brakes, drums, cylinders and shoes, tires, 4 new shocks, every piece of rubber was replaced from the convertible top down (which is new and has a new hydraulic pump as well) and she drives down the road like new. I have taken her on several trips and one thing is for sure - you never have to worry about being passed by the same car your driving! One of 880 convertibles with a 4 speed she is a rare bird to say the least. Perfect and ready to go. The only thing that does not work on the car is the radio - but as I always have the top down - who cares! Any questions (203) 223-3297
