Buick Grand National 1987 Description
IMPORTANT (Read this if nothing else):No scams, no money orders from the UK. You have 48 hours from auction end to transfer a deposit ($1,500). The car does not move from my drive-way until the bank gets the total sell price. The car currently has a lien with my bank (USAA) of $15,350. If it sells for less, my wife will beat me, I will cry, and I will put up the difference.
THE STORY:
I bought the car all stock about a year ago from a local classic car dealer in Miami and it had two owners before me (originally titled in KS). I paid $17,500 and I have put in another $2,000. It looks to have been restored before I bought it, so I am sure the speedometer rolled at that point.
I am selling it because I need another car and can't afford to keep it.
THE GOOD:
It's a stock, clean, astro-roof (original, still works with power button), digital display, 1987 Grand National. Damn right it looks sexy. The car gets looks and comments every time I take it out. No accidents, no dings, no dents. Feel free to car fax.
Below is a list of things I've done to the car since buying it in Feb. 2016:
1. New rear BF Goodrich Radial tires.
2. New TurboTweak chip (requires 93 octane!), 255LPH fuel pump, Casper's hot wire kit, and adjustable fuel pressure regulator from Kirban's.
3. New ignition module, coil pack, plugs, vacuum hoses, and wires. The car looks very nice under the hood. See the pics.
4. Dual fan with Casper's dual fan harness to keep her cool in the Florida summer.
5. Billstein shocks and Moog springs (4658 in Front, 5413 in rear).
6. ScanMaster and two gauges under the radio (temp and boost).
7. Stock radio with analog plug so you can listen from your smart phone.
8. Anti-theft device from Kirban's Performance.
9. I have a brand new TA Performance rear end girdle that I have not installed. I'll give it to you along with some extra parts: 2 ignition modules, 2 coil packs, and a few other parts.
THE BAD:
1. The hood has lost some lust from the heat, nothing a good detailing can't correct. Buff the whole car and it will be ready for the car show.
2. Since buying the car in Feb. 2016, I have searched for a weird idle with no luck (I replaced coil pack, ignition module, vacuum hoses, spark plugs, and plug wires). I did a compression test and all cylinders are within the correct operating range. My gut is that it's a vacuum leak somewhere (maybe EGR), but I don't have time and money right now. I am sure that if you take it to someone that knows these cars, they can run it through a smoke machine and fix it easily.
If you have any questions, please message me or call me at 702.596.2521.
Good luck,
Frank

I am sure that if you take it to someone that knows these cars, they can identify the issue and fix it cheap. My gut is that it's a silly vacuum leak somewhere (maybe EGR), but I don't have time and money right now. If you have any questions, please message me or call me at 702.596.2521. Good luck, Frank
