Buick Skylark 1966 Description
For Sale: 1966 Buick Skylark 2 door hardtop. I have owned this car for 25 years and it was all original and 95% rust free when I purchased it. I had the car painted in 1999 a custom metallic Blue with white painted top (base coat and clear coat). The only rust was in the front and rear window channels and was repaired with metal. This car never had a vinyl top. It is a two tone car, originally Gold and White. The paint is 18 years old and has no rust popping up. It is a 10 footer with the usual scratches and chips. I get complemented on the cool look of the car everywhere I go. The front and rear bumpers were re-plated after the car was painted. Just last month I had the windshield replaced. I installed a professionally built and balanced1971 Buick 455 that has ARP hardware, TA Performance camshaft, lifters, push-rods, water pump and, high pressure oil pump installed, with a Edelbrock B4B intake manifold and Jet stage 2 Carburetor. I had the fuel line upgraded to a 3/8 inch pick-up and lines throughout. It runs great with about 350 horse power and tons of torque. The transmission is from a 1967 Buick GS400. It has a switch pitch torque converter and shift kit installed. Also from the 1967 Buick GS400 is a balanced drive shaft with heavy duty u-joints.A new aluminiumradiator with dual fans was installed and, to top it off, I had 40 series Flowmaster mufflersinstalled with 2.5 inch dual exhaust. The engine and transmission have less than 2000 miles on them. The Odometer on the car has rolled over and I don't know the actualmiles on the car. My Skylark originally came from the factory with a power bench seat but, now has bucket seats and center console and floor shifterfrom a 1965 Buick Skylark. The seats were recover in the original off white back in 2000. The carpet was replace then also. I have a AM/FM cassete radio in the dash with front and rear speakers. The original AM is included along with the Air Conditioning parts not installed. I also have a complete American Wire whole car wiring kit included. This car gets lots of looks and is similarto the SS Chevelle and GTO of the era. If you have any questions please call me (Devin) at 707-260-5714. Happy bidding. On Apr-03-17 at 21:49:24 PDT, seller added the following information:Also replaced last year are the alternator (100 amp), regulator, starter (Delco), battery (Optima), battery cables and air cleaner. I have a pile of receiptsof the parts I've replaced over the years. In the last two years I've invested over $10,000 and this is a straight, rust free, California car with all original sheet metal. I reserve the right to end this auction in that I have it advertised in other publications. So bid to win.
