The car was sold in Oklahoma - Wilson dealership - looks like they are still in business today. I purchased this car from Texas for one simple reason - no rust as in the Northeast; that is always a concern. Floors trunk and floor are solid with no evidence of panel repair or patching.
The car has been repainted - its a 10 footer but still is very presentable. The interior wasreupholstered, it is nice and comfortable. The carpet was replaced and the lower portion of the dashboard was painted. This was all done by the previous owner. Please note - dashboard surrounding the steering wheel is broken by the headlight switch - There is a replacement in the trunk. The interior dash lights do not work - most likely a fuse. In addition, there is an aftermarket stereo installed - not working. However, the original radio is in the trunk. The speaker cover on top of the dash vibrates as the screws need to be tightened. There is also an additional factory speaker cover in the trunk.
Mechanically, I had the car tuned up by my mechanic and the carburetor rebuilt - car runs well. The transmission is fine and shifts well. The exhaust is fine but it needs to be tightened as it is loose. My mechanic indicates the the engine and transmission are very strong and the car is solid underneath. I do disconnect the battery when not in use; as there is a drain if the car sits for a week or so.
Overall, this is a very nice car and with some work it can be a great cruiser and can be restored to perfection. The convertible top is manual and the car does come with AC but not working at the present time.
The car is presently insured, registered and is driven around town. I do my absolute best to describe the car to the best of my ability as to properly set expectations! I am selling this car as I have purchased a car that i have been after for quite some time!
