1964 BUICK RIVIERA

I am pleased to offer this beautiful 1964 Buick Riviera. I have owned many Riviera’s over the years and own an original 1963 with only 47000 miles so I have something to compare to. The Riviera that I am offering is one of the best cars that you will ever drive. Its performance and handling is like a sports car yet has the luxury of a Cadillac. In fact Cadillac was to build this car but later given to Buick as Cadillac already had the Eldorado. 1964 was the year Buick installed the indestructible turbo hydromatic transmission which many prefer over the Dynaflow. I generally do not like red on a luxury car but this Riviera just hits all of the wow buttons. The original color was a very pale blue. The paint work is well done and has aged well. There are a few issues that I want to discuss but none of them of great consequence. First there is a small bubble below the rear window to the left. I have taken a picture of this. There are some dimples in the paint but of course you will only see them when very close. I could not find any rust issues and overall the paint looks show quality. Please note all of the stainless is excellent and complete. The body lines are exemplary. Inside is simply breath taking. I have spent many thousands of dollars as well as a huge amount of hours to make this Riviera as beautiful as possible. All four seats are new. All of the wood is new. The carpet looks new but has been in the car since I got it. The headliner is near perfect. All of the lights work as can be seen in the pictures. All of the chrome around the windows is polished. The dash is beautiful with like new gauges. I feel like the interior is a 9.8 of a scale of 10. The trunk has been beautifully finished even better than factory and is complete. I did not take pictures of the trunk pan however it has all been painted and looks perfect. Again no rust. The engine bay is original with everything being correct. This Riviera has the 425 cubic inch engine. The A/C has been concerted to R134. The tires are the correct size and are new. The wire wheel covers have been beautifully restored. I have added undercarriage pictures which shows clean pans and newer exhaust (which sounds perfect for this car). The red overspray should be cleaned off but I needed to let the new owner have some fun. As always if you have any questions simply call or email.
