Buick Skylark 1968 Description
I am selling my 1968 Buick Skylark Custom Coupe with a newly built 350 engine and newly built transmission. Has two single chamber flowamsters installed for exhaust along with a modern radio setup. Also has original dash and origin radio in dash which is not setup at the moment because the modern radio is. Has all new four Coope Cobra GT Radial tires with drum brakes on all four, light pull to left when braking but nothing serious, rakes work great. Takes gas I usually out 91 gas because the carborator and engine runs better with higher quality gas. Has 5inx5in rust spot on trunk floor pan but easily fixable with a few welds. I recently relayed rust and corrosion resistant liner and sealant on the floor pans in the cab and grinde/sanded the rust out before hand. Has B&M shift kit w/overdrive and low gears. Engine runs loud and strong! Has sky top rust around trunk liner and rear window but easily fixable if grinded away with sander and/or grinder like I did with the floor pans. Shouldn't cost you more than $50.00 or so to fix that depending if you do the work yourself. All windows have no cracks, irrors have no cracks as well and no other rust spots that I know of other than what I already covered. Trunk does come with custom floor coverings which make the trunk an even surface and looks very nice. Has original rims just plasti dipped over so the black can easily be removed so see the classic brass and chrome rims underneath. Has one front low beam headlight out and this will cost approx $30.00 for a replacement light depending where you buy it. Overall this is a wicked car with immense potential, lean title. Can be daily driver or project car or restored to showroom quality. Runs and drives great at the moment. Any other questions please feel free to contact me. I am only selling because I need a work truck and moving out of state so I can't accommodate the move for the car. One mans loss is another mans gain!!ALSO, listed it as 90,000 miles but the engine was rebuilt along with tranny around 15,000 miles, hanks.
