Buick Super 56R 1955 Description
1955 Buick Super 56R- Starts and drives:-- (Three on the tree manual transmission), Interior and Body work still needs attention. 3 years ago: Fuel Pump, Gas Tank, Radiator refurbished, Battery and more - got it running. 2 years ago: Brake cylinders, Transmission overhauled, Muffler and more - got it running better. This car does Run and Drive, but not truly road worthy. Rust is a problem- I have new rockers (included) and other parts negotiable. Fun to drive, and goes like it should.I purchased this 4 years ago as a father-son project. It was really rough then, got it going and it's been a blast - Done all I feel comfortable with. Time for the next owner to get agreat deal. I have a clear MN title and licence. Many extras possible: Roadmaster front fenders, extra passenger door, and more just ask... - 1) Re posting because of an honest mistake by potential "Buy it Now" Ebayer. 2) Re posting again because the "Auction" winner, who met my reserve, disappeared?! -- 3) Hopefully, third times a charm.
Most of the Mechanical is Done ~ Have over $6,500 into this, not expecting to recoup it - the $2,000 starting bid was my second reserve price. How do you put a price on something that I've really enjoyed - Hope someone finds value in this. By some accounts only (1% - 2%) of the (85,000) Supers produced had the 3 on the tree, if true -- makes it very rare (850 to 1,700), have you every seen one? Thanks for looking, great opportunity for someone...
