Buick Other 1941 Description
This is a beautiful condition 1941 Buick Special convertible. I am listing this car for a friends widow. They had purchased the car around 2005 when it had undergone a partial restoration and have continued to improve the car since. It had undergone a mechanical restoration around that time (10 years ago). It is cosmetically in very nice condition and is very drivable.Underneath the car is extremely clean. There are no signs of rust, amage or repairs. The body too is in excellent condition. The paint is good but has quite a few small flaws such as scratches, ubbles etc. Despite this overall the car still looks fantastic. The chrome is in very good shape and the glass is excellent. Under the hood is also very clean and correct. The engine and dual carbs look amazing.
The Interior is in very nice condition. Seats, oor panels carpets are all very nice. It has an original Sonomatic radio that currently does not work. It has a vacuum operated power antenna that does work. The Firestone whitewall tires are in great condition. It has a good spare. The Convertible top is in great condition.
The Fireball straight eight engine runs great with good oil pressure and power. The brakes are excellent. The clutch works perfect and the column shift works smooth as can be.
Overall this car is in great condition. The paintwork could be better but it is quite impressive and show-able as it is. The Buick is very drivable right now but some things could use improvement. The radio and clock do not work. The Vacuum system for raising and lowering the top works but it required my manual assistance to raise it. Also the vacuum wipers did not move when I tried them.
It has a clear title and comes with a box of misc spares and books, car cover and a top boot. Also included but not installed is the metal cover that goes over the spark plug wires.
