UP FOR SALE - THIS VERY NICE 1955 BUICK SPECIAL 2 DOOR SEDAN. THIS WAS A FATHER-DAUGHTER PROJECT WHICH WAS STARTED AND NEARLY DONE WHEN THE FATHER PASSED AWAY. IT IS A MUCH DESIRED 2 DOOR SEDAN, ITH THE NAILHEAD V-8 ENGINE AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. ENGINE RUNS WELL ON A HOSE AND CAN (THE FUEL TANK WAS TAKEN OUT, ND IS NOT WITH THE CAR. I AM TOLD THAT THE BUICK'S SHARE THE SAME TANK AS A '55 & '6 CHEVY WHICH CAN BE HAD CHEAP). THE TRANSMISSION MOVES THE CAR, UT SINCE THE BRAKES NEED WORK, DID NOT FEEL SAFE TO DRIVE IT. THE DOOR HANDLES AND TRUNK LOCK HAVE BEEN SHAVED, ND, HERE IS A ENTIRELY NEW KIT INCLUDED FOR ELECTRIC "POPPERS" WITH TWO REMOTE CONTROL KEY FOBS. ALSO INCLUDED ARE TWO NEW DRIVING LIGHTS WHICH WILL NEED TO BE INSTALLED. I PUT THE LIGHTS IN THE FRONT BUMPER JUST FOR PHOTO PURPOSED. THE CAR APPEARS TO BE VERY, ERY STRAIGHT. THERE IS NO DAMAGE SEEN ANYWHERE. BUMPERS ARE SO-SO BUT RELATIVELY STRAIGHT. THE GLASS IS EXCELLENT, ITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE DRIVERS DOOR, HICH IS CRACKED BUT STILL OPERATES WELL. RUST IS MINIMAL, LOORS ARE VERY SOLID, ITH ONLY TWO SMALL HOLES ON EACH SIDE OF THE FRONT FLOOR PANS ( ABOUT 1 1/2" X 2" EACH). THERE APPEARS TO BE SOME RUST REPAIR OF THE RIGHT REAR QUARTER PANEL, HEN LOOKING UP FROM UNDERNEATH. TRUNK FLOOR LOOKS TO BE VERY SOUND AS WELL. IT LOOKS LIKE ALL OF THE STAINLESS STEEL TRIM IS IN THE TRUNK OF THE CAR AND IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE. THE WINDSHIELD IS VERY, ERY NICE, ITH NO "FOGGING" AROUND THE EDGES. THE SEATS APPEAR TO BE JUST RECENTLY DONE, ND THE JOB IS ONE OF THE BEST I'VE SEEN. THEY SIT LIKE NEW, ND ARE NOT STRETCHED TOO TIGHT. DOOR PANELS ARE OLD SCHOOL TUCK N ROLL TYPE AND ARE IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE. HEADLINER HAS BEEN REDONE, UT SHOULD BE RESTRETCHED AND THERE ARE A FEW MINOR IMPERFECTIONS THAT SHOULD BE FIXED. THE "PORTHOLES" ARE INCLUDED WITH THE CAR, HEY WERE NOT INSTALLED. THEY ARE DRIVER QUALITY WITH SOME PITTING AND BLISTERING. TIRES ARE 235/75/15 RADIALS, OUNTED ON THE ORIGINAL WHEELS. THIS IS A POWER STEERING CAR, UT UNKNOWN IF THE POWER STEERING WORKS. THE BELT WAS MISSING, ND I ONLY LET THE CAR RUN FOR JUST A MINUTE SO AS NOT TO OVERHEAT IT.THIS IS ALL I KNOW ABOUT THE CAR, O IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS YOU CAN SURE ASK BUT I PROBABLY WON'T HAVE TOO MANY ANSWERS.
