Buick Electra 1971 Description
Welcome to my auction for this beautiful 1971 Buick Electra 225. The first thing I want all prospective bidders to know is that I have a long history of over 15 years buying and selling on Ebay. I created this new Ebay identity to sell my classic vehicles under "Detroit Steel Classics". I encourage all bidders to check my 100% positive feedback under my original account which is ... electra-fan .
Okay now that we have that out of the way let me give you some information about this showroom ready American iron. This is a true estate car that was purchased new at a local Buick Dealer in Bristol VA by a local Ford dealer in 1971. Yes he owned a FORD dealership and bought a new Buick Electra! He logged only 52,000 miles on this Buick before he died several years ago. I know a lot of people locally here who tell me that he NEVER drove it in the winter or in bad weather. It was kept in a nice dry garage it's whole life until several weeks ago when I bought it from his surviving Son. I did a tune up on it and replaced the tires, he Son said that his mom would start it every now and then and take it for a short drive and put some fresh gas in it before she passed a few years ago. All I had to do was wash it and do a minor detail as it was always kept spotless.. The underside of this car is as clean as the top, t was apparently undercoated at the dealer and it is all still there and clean. This is an all original survivor time capsule in Near perfect condition.
I was hoping for a nice sunny day to take these pictures to really show off the sparkling and shiny paint but the weather man was not cooperating. This car presents WAY BETTER in person than in these pictures.
I have driven it occasionally since I bought it a few months ago, lthough not as much as I would have liked to since I was NOT going to take it out on the snowy roads (and it killed me because I really love these cars). I had hoped to find a way to keep it but I am starting up a new classic car sales venture and I can use the money to buy more cars. I usually spend a lot of time on these descriptions pointing out everything wrong with the vehicle because I really want to have 100% positive feedback on this new account as I have on my previous personal account. The only thing I can think of that is not working is the fuel gauge. It is pegged in the full range which usually means there is a bad ground wire on the sending unit (easy fix).
Please ask questions and I will answer them honestly and promptly. I will also try to accommodate any request for more picures. I HAVE HAD TOO MANY WINNING BIDDERS ON PREVIOUS AUCTIONS WITH NEW ACCOUNTS AND NO FEEDBACK THAT DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH ON THE SALE. SO IF YOU HAVE NO FEEDBACK CONTACT ME AND I WILL CONSIDER ALLOWING YOUR BID. I WILL CANCEL ALL BIDDERS WITH ZERO FEEDBACK UNLESS THEY HAVE CONTACTED ME FIRST.
I reserve the right to end this auction early as the car is for sale locally.
