Buick Riviera 1968 Description
Hello, ere is a 1968 Buick Riviera That is a well Documented, ow Mileage, ery Original Car.UnrestoredOriginal Interior, actory Paint. Matching Number Original Engine that has not been apart and runs superb. Original Spare and Jack, nused and pristine. Original Plates as issued new in 1968, nd in excellent condition. All Registration cards from new temporary registration in 1968 to current, ll same owner. Matching Original Protecto Plate and Warranty book. Original Owner's and Accessory Manuals. Statement of mileage.Second set of tires since new. I purchased the car recently from the Original Owner. He is 77 and bought the car new in 68 from a Buick dealership thatis stillin Business. He kept the Car in amazing condition. For 48 years, he car has been babied. He even kept the door jambs waxed. It does not show anysignificant rust, orrosion, rUV damage anywhere. Here iswhat I am aware of in the way ofreplacements... new windshield, ew heater core. Stock carb replaced with a Holley double pumper. Stock air cleaner drilled for better air flow. Stock mufflers replaced with glasspacks. Problems...trunk key turns stiff. Blinker arm does not stay in place on right hand turns. Clock is non op. There is a faint handprint in the paint left of the trunk key where owner pulled himself out from under vehicle with brake fluid on his hand. Compared to this car's assets, here is not much to whine about. The Vehicle runs and drives very nicely. Strong, mooth, nd tight. A pleasure to drive.Does not leave a drop of any fluids on the garage floor. With 475 foot pounds of torque, his car will press you in the seat at most any speed. The pictures tell an important story here. Other than minor carpet wear, he interior shows no cracks, ips, r tears. Seats are supple and not broken down. Rear deck panels are not faded. The chrome trim and bumpers are in remarkable shape. Glass is excellent. I was told the car was not ever hit. All sheet metal including under hood appears original. Paint overall is good with expected minor flaws and touch up.Headliner and seat belts excellent. I have not excessively polished, leaned, r treated this car. Undercarriage is the same as the rest of the car, n excellent, riginal, ndamaged condition. In your lifetime, ow often have you met someone who bought a car new and kept it in this kind of condition for 48 years? This Car has clearly always been respected, dmired, nd properly cared for. This is a rare, f not once in a lifetime chance to own a Riviera like this. Give it a good home. Questions? 208-598-5773
