Buick Special 1955 Description

Rare '55 Buick special, 2-Dr. sedan, factory equipped with three speed standard shift on the column. A very solid body with some dents and surface rust, (see photos), and some rust-out in drivers and pass. side floor boards, (see photos), that is easily repairable with available OEM patch panels. 264 cu. in. V-8 engine is complete except for missing generator that was stolen off car. Was told by previous owner that the engine had a bad head gasket, which leaked coolant into cylinder, and motor is stuck. I have NOT disassembled to confirm claim, as I intended to rebuild the engine anyway. Trunk floor, and all other floorboards appear solid with no visible rust through. Have extra front backing plates with rebuilt wheel cylinders, almost new shoes, drums, andwheel bearings in trunk, (see photos), along with Rt. side chrome, fan shroud, other hub caps, and beauty rings. Rear glass is out, but comes with the car. Thert.door glass is cracked, Lt. door glass is broken. Front seat and rear seat frame are with the car.

I bought this car with all intentions of restoring it, as there were few Buicks built in 1955 with Standard Shift. I also have a complete 4-barrel manifold and carb assy, with the correct air filter assy, off a 1955 Century that I was going to install, (along with dual exhausts), and will sell separately if buyer is interested.I also have several other parts such as a radio, or radio delete plate, parking light lenses, back-up lenses, spare tail light assy, rt. grille extension, and other parts I was collecting to do the restoration. If buyer interested, will sell at reasonable prices. Contact me for all extra parts I have for this car.

Due to other projects, and my age, I just don't have time to do this car, and reluctantly have chosen to sell it. There is a fair reserve price on this car. Additionally, there is NO warranties on this vehicle, as it does NOT run, and cannot be driven. This vehicle is located in Enterprise/Osteen Fl. which is just south of Daytona beach. Itmust be towed, or trailered from its current location, and this is the responsibility of the buyer, although I will help with loading, etc. I have a clear Florida title in hand.

PLEASE LOOK AT ALL PICTURES CAREFULLY, and ask questions if any doubts about the car BEFORE you bid. I can store the car for a few weeks if necessary at no charge.
