Buick Other 1932 Description
This 1932 Buick Series 57-S is a true 79,000 original-mileage car. It runs and drives very well, s I drive it everyday to and fromvarious points within the city I live in. I also have enjoyed it on many cruises with friends. The body on the car is in great shape for its age. It has been garaged most of its life and the dings on the car are from other car doors. There is no major body damage and NO ROT anywhere, xcept in the bottom of the tire side-mount areas(which was a common for tire side-mounted cars). Also, ll body lines are straight with no sagging doors or worn hinges. There isNO ROTTENWOODanywhere in the car. The hood opens and closes and lines up properly and the original chrome and bright-work is in remarkable shape. The roof is in excellent shape and the vinyl pad is not worn, racked or torn anywhere. It is sealed properly, ith no evidence of any water intrusion.
The interior also is all original and in remarkable shape. The vinyl pad on the front floor is pliable and not cracking or breaking apart. The rear carpe is original and is not worn or torn anywhere.Rear floor mats seem to have protected therear carper. Theoriginal front and rear mohair seats are not worn through anywhere except on the upper back of the driver side side where a tear exists. This is most likely from entering and exiting the car, nd it can be stitched to close. Theoriginal headliner is in excellent shape, ith no sags, ears orthin spots anywhere. The headliner isremarkable considering its age. All door and window handles are in great shape and all function very well. All glass is original and in excellent shape with no cracks, eparation, azing orchips.
Themotor and transmission are in great running shape and perform as a car should from this vintage. The car has numerous grease fittings that have all been greased in the last 1,000 miles and will require monitoring as all cars from this era do. The shocks arein great shape and wellasall of the suspension under the car. The tires are recent wide-white walls with good spares in the side-mounts. All gauges work properly and the car still operates with its original 6-volt electrical system.
