Buick Other 1935 Description
1935 buick model 58 stored inside since at least the mid 60s.somewhat restored in the 60s/70s.laquer paint has cracks/peeling.car ran fine when i bought it 2-3 yrs ago in fact the previous owner had installed new points/plugs and had the fuel pump rebuilt.ran off a small tank under the hood as the original tank has some pinholes on the drivers side.drove it onto a trailer when i bought it and in and out of my garage when i was cleaning floorpans and undercarriage.have not ran in 8-10 months as carb was dripping after turning the car off battery has gone bad but will purchase another for someone truly interested.known missing parts are 1 rear side glass and roller shade,1 runningboard molding,1 lower gas tank strap is broke at the threaded end,1 pair of bucket seat pivot brackets,rr inner fender bracket interior was mostly redone but not installed except headliner i removed to inspect roof wood/paint metal.floor pans were removed/cleaned rustmort treated/primed/painted forward edge of wood trunk floor had some ply separation and was glued/clamped before re-installing floor pans.only rust repair i found was the very bottom lip of rockers where they meet the runningboards runningboards are solid fenders have some bondo but are solid.rear skirt of car arrow straight.bumpers most likely rechromed at some point still very presentable.tail lights and hood ornament are very nice structural wood very nice shape.interior handles rechromed.having been largely dissassembled at some point and kept inside since re assembly bumper/fender/runningboard,etc bolt removal is no problem.i'm sure tires are old but hold air/are not cracked with very little if any tread wear.i bought a 31 caddy not long after i got the floors back in this car and it has been on the backburner since..while there is no such thing as an "easy restoration"this well-designed car has a lot going for it is somewhat rare and a great candidate for resto/streetrod.feel free to ask questions or inspect the car in person before purchase.clear tennessee title in my name in hand.tony 931 433 5593
