Cadillac Eldorado 1978 Description

This is a beautiful, fully-loaded 1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz. It is a well-preserved original that has been garaged and properly cared-for since new. It has just 43,686 miles on the odometer (as of the listing date) which are believed to be the correct, actual miles. It has a clear Florida title which also documents the mileage to be correct. The sales brochures, owner’s manual, and many service records are included. Our asking price is equal to the original 1978 MSRP as delivered when new.

BODY / FLOORS / FRAME: The trunk, floors, frame and undercarriage are all original, solid, and undamaged. The fit of the doors, hood and trunk lid are excellent and the body is straight. I don’t see any rust-through anywhere under the car.

PAINT / CHROME: The paint appears to be original and presents very well with few minor chips and touch-ups. The bumpers, chrome and trim are in nice original condition, showing only minor blemishes and wear.

INTERIOR: The interior is also original. The dash, door panels, headliner, carpet, and seat belts are in remarkable condition for their age. The leather seats are very nice, showing only normal wear on the front seat. The dash is one of the nicest I’ve ever seen. The interior has no unpleasant odors and has never been smoked in.

ELECTRICAL: Everything is in working order. Even the original clock, radio, and 8-track tape player work properly.

MECHANICAL: The engine is original and runs well. The engine compartment is correct and unrestored. The transmission and brakes are in excellent working order. This car is a pleasure to drive, and the air conditioning, heat, and climate controls all function properly.

TITLE TRANSFER AND PAPERWORK: I am a long-time classic car hobbyist and a licensed Florida car dealer (Classic Investment Motorcars Inc.) This means that you must complete the sales and title transfer forms with me, which can be done in person or through the mail.

DOCUMENTATION FEE: A flat fee of $100 is charged on all vehicle purchases to cover postage, preparing paperwork and forms, and other dealer costs. This fee cannot be waived. This fee applies regardless of whether you are an individual or a dealer.

SALES TAX: If you live in Florida or are picking up the car in Florida I am required to collect the applicable sales tax and tag/title fees. If the vehicle is shipped out of Florida by common carrier I do not collect the sales tax (you will take care of that where you live.)

DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT: A $200 non-refundable PayPal deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The balance must be paid by cash, cashier’s check, or wire transfer within seven days of the end of the auction. All cashier’s checks must clear my bank before the vehicle can be released. If the winning bidder fails to pay in accordance with these requirements, I may, at my option, make second-chance offers or re-list/remarket the vehicle and the deposit will be forfeited by the bidder.

SHIPPING: Arranging and paying for shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder. We will always do our best to cooperate with your shipping company, be it domestic or international. We may also be able to help you arrange shipping at a very good rate, but the responsibility will remain with you.
