Cadillac Eldorado 1974 Description
1974 Cadillac
Up for sale is a very well preserved 1974 Cadillac Eldorado convertible. Perfect example of an original, rust-free California Caddy that’s never left the state. This is a true matching numbers car with factory power-train, paint codes, and just over 50k miles since new! That’s an average of about 1,200 miles a year. I am only the third owner to this beauty and it has always been very well cared for. I try to drive it regularly to keep her running like a top. This Cadillac still runs like the day it rolled off the assembly line and it’s ready to be driven anywhere today. Clean CA title in hand ready to be transferred to a new owner. Get ready to turn heads everywhere behind the wheel of this cabriolet.
The car comes equipped with the original S-code 500ci big block engine and 3-speed Turbo-Hydramatic auto transmission. Runs amazing and shifts smooth into all gears. It has lots of power and picks up fairly quick for a large car. The suspension, power steering, and power brakes all work excellent and the car feels safe at any speed. No squeaks or rattles whileon the roadand the power-train runs very smooth as any Cadillac should. The canvas top and interior were reupholstered about 4 years ago. Car was painted around the same time in the correct two-stage Cotillion White factory color. It has all original rust-free sheet metal throughout including deck lid, floor pans, doors, and hood (these cars are notorious for rust issues). This Caddy has never been in an accident either. Doors open and close with ease and line up great. Original glass all around in great shape and all 4 power windows work well. Electrical system is in good shape including the driver power seat, dash gauges, all the lights, windshield wipers, horn, and radio. I recently had the hydraulic compressor for the convertible top replaced. Known issues; A/C system is due for a service. Only blows cool air at the moment and will need a recharge to blow ice-cold again. It has a couple tiny paint imperfections from average use over the years (see pics of close-ups). Fuel guage only reads correct when it’s filled up above half way. It has a few small cracks on factory dash pad. Aside from these minor fixes she’s in excellent shape for a 40+ year old American classic.
The Cadillac is available for inspection by any serious bidder during this auction week, just message me with your phone number and I will call you to set up an appointment.
