Cadillac Other 1926 Description

This is a 1926 Cadillac Firetruck, I had this listed before but pulled it to get a title for it. I was given a VIN number for it and a Wisconsin Title for it. Sorry about the delay but it took a long time to get the title. The car started off as a 1926 CadillacStandard Sport 5 Sedan with a 132" wheel base. It is or was a Model 314 Number 7040 with the 33 x 6.75 Disc Wheels option. It also has Nickel Hubs, Nickel Lamps, and Nickel Radiator and the spare tires in the fender wells. The best I can tell it was converted into a Firetruck sometime in the 30's or 40's. It has a Obenchain-Boyer Chemical conversion kit purchased by the Marathon City Fire Dept. using a Ford Kit. It has just over 13,000 miles on it, but has been more than 5 years since it was started. In my opinion the motor will need to be gone through, it has leaky freeze plugs. I had the carburetor, starter, generator and distributer rebuilt. The distributer has the internals replaced with points. It has a custom gas tank installed as the original was junk. It also has an electric fuel pump installed. It is a solid body with just surface rust on the frame and a rust hole where the battery is. The best I can tell the only missing items are 1 of the split rim on a spare, 1 of the spare tire clamps with the leather that held it in place. It does have a broken piece on the steering wheel center, it is there but needs to be glued back on. The clock is not in the dash but is included. 1 of the spare tire centers was broken in the back and needs to be fixed, from the front you can not see any damage. This is a very rare find and a great project for someone to restore or get running and drive as is. Last year I took it to the Iola car show and most everyone there said they would keep it as is and not restore it. If you are the winning bidder I will need a nonrefundable deposit of $2000.00 through PayPal with the balance paid in cash when picked up, any other form of payment you need to contact me on what you might want to do. You will get the title when it is paid for. You will need to pick up or arrange a pick up from West Bend Wisconsin. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK.
