Cadillac DeVille 1970 Description
1970 DeVille convertible with 59,000 original miles. I had the car shipped from San Mateo California which is really funny because the color code is San Mateo red. I had a new carpet put in along with new all leather upholstery and a new top with pads and optional headliner. It has a very clean undercarriage with no rust on floors or frame. The car was painted long before I owned it and it has held up very nicely. The engine runs great and the transmission shifts as it should. It has cruise control that actually works! There is a radio installed in the glove box to keep the dash looking stock with speakers under the dash out of sight. Under the hood is largely unrestored but in nice shape and the trunk is also original. It is currently registered and insured and can be road tested anytime for serious buyers. You will not find one of these cars with nicer chrome than this one and it has the highly sought after optional right side mirror. For any questions you can contact me through E-bay and we can speak on the phone. It is for sale locally as well so I may end the auction if a local sale goes through. If you are looking for a Caddy convertible this would be an awsome one to have.On Jun-27-15 at 20:14:50 PDT, eller added the following information:I created a photobucket folder with a bunch more pics, o use this to see them.http://i875.photobucket.com/albums/ab311/montvaleplace/1970%20Cadillac/Tonys%20phone%202015%20333.jpg
On Jun-27-15 at 20:41:18 PDT, eller added the following information:The undercarriage is as clean as you could ask for with literally no rust aside from hazing and the original sound deadening is intact. I did clean up the differential and paint it when I got the car. Under the hood is pretty original but I did a couple of things to improve upon original. The inner workings of the distributor have been converted to electronics ( pertronix kit) while keeping the original distributor housing so externally it looks stock but with greatly improved spark and reliability. I also put on a set of date coded plug wires. The battery cables have the spring ring ends as original and it got a new Y pipe when I got it. The trunk is rust free and original including the original parade boot (lightly stained). Tilt and Telescopic steering collumn and cruise control along with power windows A/C and power trunk release all work. I made a big improvement on the convertible top controls, hen I replaced the top switch ( reproduction) I wired in two relays under the dashboard that take the high current out of the switch and uses it only for grounding. This saves the switch and runs the high current through the relays that are better built to handle it.
