Cadillac Other 1959 Description

This 1959 Cadillac is one nice driver. Great colors inside and out. Get in and go! This Series 62 '59 Caddy has spent it's life in Southern California and Arizona. We bought it from a local lady who has owned the car for the last 30-40 years. Always a dry climate car. Nice original interior. Super nice original pot metal chrome and good stainless. The car has had a color change at some point. It was a white car originally. It was painted everywhere including under the hood. trunk. and the door jams. It is a driver quality paint job. Very shiny and the car looks stunning in black/red with the wide white walls! It could be used exactly the way it is for many. many years. We received a Best Classic Cars trophy at a local show among 250 cars recently. The body is very dry and at least 99% rust free. The only known rust is very minor rust in the driver floor (does not need to be repaired to be used). and some bubbles at the bottom of the front fender (under the paint. not showing through). Overall. very dry south western car. The trunk floor looks fantastic. almost like new. The interior is mostly original. The vinyl on the seats was replaced. but the cloth seat inserts. door panels. and carpet are original. We did replace the dry foam in the seats so the original cloth will not crack and go bad! The dash pad is a brand new. high-quality replacement made in Sweden. it is NOT a cheap dash cap but a real dash pad. The headliner is new. The horn ring is perfect. I can't remember when I last saw a horn ring that was not broken on a 1959 Cadillac. The chrome is in great condition. Super shiny and pit free! There is one dent in the rear bumper center bar which we could have repaired if wanted. The trunk 'V' and crest are missing. but they are reproduced. We can get new ones if a new owner wants us to. The original decklid stainless panel is at the polishing shop and the one in the pictures will be replaced with a freshly polished correct piece shortly. So the one you see in my pictures is borrowed and not included in the sale but the original will be installed in a few days. Mechanically the car is in great condition. Runs and drives with no problems. Low miles on a rebuilt transmission. I was told the engine was recently rebuilt. we don't have paperwork on it but looking at the engine both from above and from underneath it sure looks fresh. Either way. the Cadillac runs great and it does not smoke and there's no strange noises from the engine. Coker wide white wall tires. I would trust driving this car anywhere. and have driven it a few hundred miles around town in the past couple of weeks. This car comes with a clean and clear Arizona title. If you want a 1959 Cadillac that is ready to go. a dry Arizona car that has not been screwed with and messed with and that you can drive with pride this is probably the car for you! On Apr-20-15 at 18:26:28 PDT. seller added the following information:Several people have contacted us about possible having the rear bumper straightened and chromed before the car leaves our shop. We have worked with a high quality chrome shop here in Phoenix for over 25 years and we can pull the bumper. disassemble it and have it rechromed. We only use show chrome. copper. nickel and chrome so the result is always very high quality. It would cost around $1000-$1200 for the complete job inc the labor included to pull it. disassemble it. reassemble the bumper after the chrome job is done and reinstall it again on the car.
