This example was purchased along with photos of an earlier restoration done to the carin the 1970s and it is believed this car was associated with Gary Cooper. It is said to have been driven in Hollywood, alifornia. 1939 would be the 2nd to last year for LaSalle and is considered one of the finest. These late cars have a unique style and quality that set them apart. This particular example is very attractive car that displays strong cosmetics and mechanicals. This is a car that can be driven and shown. It is powered by the correct 322 cubic inch L-head flathead V8 engine paired with the 3-speed manual column-shifted transmission. The trim is just stunning.

Check out the tasteful grille design, ust beautiful.

The dual sidemount spares really add to this car's persona.

The rear bumper leaves little doubt as to the automobile you are motoring in.

We have several photographs of this LaSalle during an earlier restoration along with additional photos from the most recent restoration work.

Open the doors to 1939. The interior is beautifully restored with many of the original components & controls remaining intact down to the radio & steering wheel.

The cloth upholstery is perfect for this car, howing well front to back. The headliner is also in great shape.

The dash displays the factory instruments along with the era-correct simulated wood backing.

The back windows slide open and closed.

The heater is intact.

The pedals show well, ith the distinctive LaS of early LaSalle design.

The radio is just beautiful with its ivory-like original bakelite plastic buttons and clear face with dial indicator. The radio is not functional, ut appears intact.

The factory steel wheels wear the correct LaS wheel covers and were fitted with wide whitewall poly-bias tires all around.

This is a steel car with steel running boards left and right.

Under the hood is the smooth running 322 cubic inch L-head V8. This powerplant is correct for this car and paired with the 3-speed manual column-shifted transmission.

The engine is clean and detailed as is the engine compartment.

The 1939 LaSalle boasted a full trunk, his one in great shape just like the rest of this car.

The undercarriage is in exceptional condition front to back. This car has had a host of suspension work performed over the years.
