Cadillac DeVille 1962 Description
To start. I have owned this 1962 Cadillac since September 12. 1997. I am the 3rd owner. Car was bought by 1st owner. Harriet W. Morris of Oakland CA. August 28. 1962 from Shepard Cadillac in Berkeley CA. (see photo). Car was then sold. March 27. 1996 to the 2nd owner. Frank McElhannon Jr. of Fountain. CO. at that time the miles were recorded on the Colorado title as 36. 68 actual. He then traded it at Roger Meier Cadillac in Dallas. Then September 12. 1997 I bought the car off of the showroom floor from Roger Meier Cadillac in Dallas Texas. with 40. 13 actual miles as indicated on back of the Colorado title. This car is coming out of my personal collection. This 62 Cadillac Park Ave DeVille:1) Has been garaged it's whole life. as you can see in the photos. I garage it with an exact fit car cover. This car has no "old car gunk" as I like to call it. Other people call it grime. 2) The car has the following working options:A/C (ice cold). nbsp;Power steering. ower Seat. ruise Control (inop). nbsp;Day/Night Mirror. nbsp;Power Windows. nbsp;Electric Pull Down Trunk. nbsp;AM Wonder Bar Radio. nbsp;Working Power Antenna. nbsp;Power Door Locks. nbsp;Color Coded Wheel CoversAll the Glass is original and flawless. All the Chrome is original and 99% Flawless. nbsp; The upholstery is very close to perfect except for the driver seat has a small hole (pencil eraser size) and a repairable tear about 3 inches long at the seam. The rear seat has a light stain. The Headliner is original and Flawless. nbsp;Dash is original and flawless. (some wear rub marks by ash tray). The interior has never been dyed or painted. Trunk is all original including the spare and jack. All interior lights work perfect. All exterior lights work perfect. The paint is as good as I've seen for it's age. may have been repainted years ago before my ownership but extremely hard to tell. Absolutely NO RUST anywhere on this car!!I did bypass the heater core. (started to leak). Engine runs perfect with no hesitations. nbsp;New valve cover gaskets this year. Pan leaks a little oil. nothing major very normal for it's age. All original Owners Warranty Book and Owners manual. Original Key retainer with original keys from Shepard Cadillac. Factory fender skirts work properly as they should. Look. I could go on and on about the condition of this car. It is nice. however it is not a "trailer queen" but is much nicer than just "driver quality". In my opinion. this is a rare example of a VERY RARE Cadillac Park Ave Sedan deVille with 42. 00 actual miles. I am very confident you will be happy with the condition of the car. believe me there is a difference!
