This Series 60 Touring Sedanwas delivered new to Burton Upjohn (Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company) and spent the majority of it's life as part of a large collection. It is highly original with one repaint which is rare to find! It's powered by the original 346ci straight 8 cylinder engine paired with the original 3-speed column shift manual transmission. This car is a great find for someone to drive as is. or fully restore to concourse condition. While Bill Mitchell was in his early 20's he helped design Series 60 Cadillacs. The new 4-door sedan. designed to look like a convertible sedan. howcased trend-setting features. including a completely integrated coupe-like trunk. onvertible style doors. no running boards. "4-window" canopy giving more glass area. a steeply-raked windshield. nbsp;and four front-hinged doors. The odd thing was it was meant to be an entry-level car. but the styling was so successful it createdenough demand that Cadillac made it into a luxury model.
