Volkswagen Beetle - Classic 1959 Description

1959 Beetle Project. Please read the ad before bidding! It definitely needs work. Was originally blue but was painted red sometime long ago. I am in process of replacing the l/f quarter panel. front clip. and rear apron. comes with a workable l/f quarter panel off a 1960. needs a front clip. has small to medium dents and dings on the roof and doors. all fixable with a hammer and dolly. some filler evidence on the r/f quarter. but the inside looks fine so it could be worked. missing the front seats. and several parts for the interior including the gauge and switches. missing the steering column but I do have a column and tube that will come with the car. No gas tank. but I can include a 1963 tank if you need. comes with a set of 1963 front fenders that need work on the bolt mounting surfaces. and the original rear fenders that have some repairable tearing on the bottom where the bumper mounts. the rear bumper mounts need to be repaired or replaced. No bumpers included. Comes with original decklid that needs the hinges repaired and welded on (comes with good hinges). Has a 1967 front hood on it that is workable. and could easily be adapted to the earlier trim. Comes with some original headlights and rear taillight housings (you will need the bulb holders and lenses) original engine and split case trans. was full of water when I got it so he condition is unknown. everything looks to be there though. the pan is in decent shape. needs battery tray repair. no major rust in the heater channels I can find. ice pick doors. has some rust in the bottom of the passenger side. No door handles or exterior trim. comes with all the glass. which is old but good. I believe the drivers door glass and winder is out. but does come with it. Comes with clean and clear UT title. could be towed with a tow bar a short distance with no problem as I have done a few times over the years. please ask with any questions.
