Cadillac DeVille 1992 Description

Up for sale again is my extremely rare black 1992 Cadillac DeVille Touring Sedan. The ride is more like a European Sedan not the soft mushy feel you associate with a Cadillac. I bought this car off eBay in 2000 and it has been garage kept since then. It has not been driven in ice or snow since 2000. The car has not been detailed prior to the photos. It has the usual run of dings and scratches you associate with a 23 year old car but the paintwork is still glossy (see photos). The camel color interior is close to perfect save for a burn hole in the back of the driver’s seat (see photo). The rear seat legroom is phenomenal compared to newer Cadillacs and can easily accommodate full size passengers.

Back in 2003 (at 134000 mi.) I blew a head gasket and fried the original engine. The used replacement engine now has around 115000 mi. on it. All of the mechanical parts seem to be functioning properly even the electric clock and power antenna work. The A/C blows cold the engine is smooth and the transmission shifts as it should.

The front brakes have just been reworked and regular maintenance has been performed as needed. I have all of the service records since the summer of 2000 which will go with the car. The tires have lots of tread (front ones have around 5000 miles on them)

Known Flaws

Mechanical

The ABS and Traction Control warning lights have been on for around five years. Since I never drive in slippery conditions I have not investigated the meaning of these lights. The brakes are fine but the ABS may not be operational.

Interior

The aforementioned burn hole in the back of the driver’s seat.

The headliner around the left windshield post has wrinkles and should be tightened.

There are a few small stains on the floormats (shampooing would probably cure).

The armrest on the driver’s door has a couple of very small cracks.

Exterior

There are some shallow scratches in the trunk lid that might polish out.

There is one paint chip (about the size of a pencil eraser) in the hood.

A few dings here and there but not many considering the age of the car.

The windshield has some tiny pits.

Overall the appearance is very presentable and I get a lot of compliments on it from people in service stations parking lots etc. I have tried to disclose every negative about the car but I am offering it “as is” without warranty (express or implied). I doubt you’ll find a nicer Cadillac for the money.

Car is for local pickup but I will cooperate with loading your transporter. I will require a $500. deposit through Paypal within 48 hours of sale balance in collected funds before delivery of car.
