Car has been in clean, ry storage for many years; came with a collection of cars we are currently liquidating.Very solid car for age; becoming harder to come by that are not rust buckets.Underneath does have some minor rust areas.
We did drain gas, ut in new battery, ome points, little other work;car does start up and drive.When car was put into storage engine had been recently rebuilt, ew tires installed, nd interior work was done.This could be made in to a great driver for a small investment!

Beginning with the 1934 model year, significant portion of the LaSalle was more closely related to the Oldsmobile, han to senior Cadillacs. Again, arl's work with the LaSalle resulted in a graceful vehicle, ed by an elegant and thin radiator grille. Earl's other contribution was the modern, irplane-styled, emi-shielded portholes along the side of the hood. All bodies were now made by Fleetwood.[2]

This new LaSalle was now priced $1,000 less than the least expensive Cadillac, ts mission was not to fill a price gap, ut to keep the luxury car division out of the red. But as the economy began to recover, he LaSalle did not, t least not commensurate with the economy. Sales were 7,195 in 1934, 651 in 1935 and 13,004 in 1936.[2]

Meanwhile, he Packard One-Twenty had been introduced in 1935, nd had taken off like a rocket. Additional competition from the Lincoln-Zephyr, ntroduced in 1936, id not help, ither. For 1937, adillac made the LaSalle its own again, iving it the 322cuin (5.3L) monobloc V8 of the Series 60, ew styling, lower price range, nd a heavy promotion, mphasizing the car was completely Cadillac built. It was too late. Model year sales of 32,000 LaSalles was a terrific leap forward, ut remained leagues behind the junior Packard.[2]
