Description

Top of the line offering for 1985, the last year of this 79-85 Eldorado body style. Soon to be down sized again to the "Stubby" Eldorado as I call them. The '85 was a great style, and had some really unique features and design ideas. The rooflines on these cars are very classic Cadillac, including its stainless steel roof shell. This particular Eldorado is the top trimmed Biarritz edition, giving it overstuffed leather seats, unique chrome spears down both sides to the nose, and unique bagging. A good friend of mine has owned this car for the last few years, only putting a few thousand miles on it as a Sunday cruiser. He loved taking it out and cruise around with one hand on the steering wheel, and another on a fine quality cigar. Prior to him the second owner had it from 2001 until 2014 only putting 17k miles on it. Then prior to that, the previous owner had the car in Fremont California since the early 90's. That is as far back as I could track the history. My good friend Paulie Walnuts as I call him traded me the car for a Buick sedan he just had to have out of my personal collection. The car is in very nice shape, and is a great Cadillac for anyone looking for a good looking, great running car to enjoy worry free.

Condition

This car shows very good, and drives just as good! The car looks mainly original for 1985. I have put a few hundred miles on the car, and it does everything it should! During Paul's ownership he had a new factory correct vinyl top installed, a new headliner, and new bumper fillers. The paint on the car is bright and shines nicely, but does have some common "Checking" as some call it, on the upper surfaces. This is common on these 80's Cads, with original Lacquer paint. There is also some checking/crazing on the driver door. This is not noticed in the daylight, as the paint is so bright. The stainless steel top is in great shape, and shines like it should! The chrome is in nice shape, with some wear and pitting in spots, but no rust. The only rust to speak of is on the bottom inner edges of the doors, and deck lid. It has been touched up. There are also a few other chips/marks here and there that were touched up over the years, including some marks on the passenger fender. Both coach lights on the roof are inoperable. Turn the key over and this Eldorado fires right up, and sounds great! A solid runner!!! The automatic transmission shifts in and out of all gears as it should. The exhaust is nice and quiet. The only thing I could see that needs service is the A/C compressor. It works, and engages, and even blows nice, cold air!!! It however sometimes is noisy. It comes and goes with driving. The interior of the car is in good shape as well. There are no cracks or splits in the dash pad, or cracks in the door panels. The seats show some wear that would accompany the age and use of them. The carpets are in great shape, with no major defects. All the power accessories seem to work nicely, including the seats, windows, radio, instruments, etc. Even the power antenna still works. Both sun visors need to be tightened/adjusted, as they do not want to stay up when not in use. All the glass is in great shape, and free from any major defects. It has a matched set of tires, showing good tread remaining. This Biarritz is a great example of a time gone by, of personal luxury coupes. This example is a great example of a nice driver quality car, that you can drive with ease and comfort, and turn heads everywhere you go! The car comes with both sets of Cadillac keys, owners manual, and the hubcap key. There are two floor mats in the trunk along with a GM trunk mat. Take a look at the many quality photos below, and feel free to ask any questions you may have.
