Cadillac Allante 1990 Description
This car has been sitting for some years outside. It was my daily driver for a couple years and I was going to restore it but.......Now I know I'll never have the time or energy to do it. This summer I put a new battery in it and it started the second time I turned the key!! First time in 3 years (three year old gas!) Runs a little rough, drives fine, front right caliper seems to be dragging.Car needs new carpet, steering wheel, rear bumper facia. Passenger window doesn't work. I bought a new motor for it and a rebuilt regulator but that didn't help. Must be electrical, not my thing.Probably the real reason I;m letting it go. While it sat, the turn signals decided to stop working, the trunk pull down motor and top pull down motor also. the perfectly fine digital dash went dark. I think I lost an electrical ground somewhere.
I also bought the car with a drivers info center that was only half working. I found and bought a DIC that was sold to me as being in 100 percent working condition. I never put it in. It happened to be with the "wood" surround so I bought the matching digital dash so it wouldn't look funny in the car. They go with the car. Those two items cost more than the opening bid. Also, the original rims in nearly perfect condition with tires with 90% tread on them. The car has CTS rims on it now with tires with 90% tread on them. You get both sets of rims and tires (unless you don't want both).
Notice in one picture the ever popular master cylinder has already been replaced with a reman. The car has also had a new fuel tank and pump put in and fuel and break and tranny lines have been replaced over the years. Some window and dash switches have been replaced
I'm listing it as a "PARTS CAR" and you should expect nothing more. As I said it runs and drives but you can't drive it home. Among other thing, the drivers door latch is "frozen" and the door won't close. BUT NOTE: THERE IS NO RESERVE.
I repeat;;; THERE IS NO RESERVE. The opening bid of $500.00 is NON refundable to weed out wannabes and cover my costs. BUT if you get here and think "OH NO", no harm done. You can back out and I'll just relist. Fair enough?
