Cadillac Eldorado 1964 Description
Offered is a beautiful, ow mileage 1964 Cadillac Eldorado convertible. It has only 89,000 pampered miles since new. It has been restored as necessary to a beautiful example of this low production model. The original white leather interior is still soft to the touch. Selected pieces of leather that showed wear, ere removed and replaced with color-matched leather. This interior is all leather. The interior is beautifully accented with the original Baku wood, hich Cadillac imported from Africa exclusively for Fleetwood models in 1964. It is very rare for an open car to have this original wood trim remaining. The condition of the interior indicates that this car has been garaged with the top up for most of its life The car has been painted once from the original finish to the original black color. It has a mirror like finish using base coat clear coat for the maximum gloss and depth. The car was re-painted when I got it in 2008. I have kept it covered in my garage, ccasionally driving it on clear days. The bumpers have been re-chromed. All other chrome is original, ery bright, hiny and pit free. It starts easily and runs smooth and powerfully with the original 429 c.i. engine rated at 340 HP. It shifts tight and smooth. All lights operate correctly, ncluding the original T-3 headlights that are automatically operated by the autronic eye that is hidden in the driver's side front fender. This car is fully loaded with accessories that include the optional AM/FM radio, ower vent windows, ilt wheel steering column, nbsp;rare bucket seats w/ console, orking air conditioning, way power bucketseats, xclusive Eldorado horn, tc. The white wall tires are like new. The top was properly installed in 2008 and is in near new condition after remaining covered in my garage since then. The trunk has all the original cloth, ools and spare tire cover in excellent unrestored condition. The only fluid leaks I have experienced from this car is a oil drop about the size of a quarter from the front of the engine, very time I drive it. The undercarriage is all original and hassurface rust and grime as it has not been cleaned or refinished. In the 7 years I have owned it I have installed a new battery, lternator, ront brakes, ower brake booster, ebuilt the carburetor, ew H.D. radiator core and a power servo. You are welcome to call me (Terry) at 714-514-0390 if you have questions or would like to make an appointment to see it. Thank you! On Sep-11-15 at 12:12:05 PDT, eller added the following information:I have had a few questions about the 1st picture in the auction that shows a blue line across the left front fender...just for clarity, hat is a piece of lint in my camera lens that showed up in the picture. Also some questions about the history...the original owner was in Kentucky. She sold it to her electrician and the next owner of record was Daniel Schmitt Classic Cars, t Louis, o....who I bought the car from. Daniel Schmitt Classic cars painted it, ut on a new top, etailed the engine compartment, e-chromed the front & rear bumpersand installed a new set of tires. I bought the car from them on an eBay auction 7 years ago. I love the car, ut it is so nice, am afraid to drive it much...so it has just sat in my garage with a cover on it. I am selling it only because I never use the car and I could use the space to park my modern car inside.
