Cadillac DeVille 1957 Description

Please note that experience shows us that the photobucket of over 100 large pixel pictures posted here are in most cases best viewed and downloaded using the very latest and most updated version of the 'Firefox' browser as some other browsers and especially older browser versions are not capable of accommodating the size of the download. Over the years our clients have overwhelmingly been appreciative of our many unaltered large pixel photos posted in our ads and our feedback has been that it is very rare that a dealer will post all but the most flattering of professionally finished photographs. We prefer to post the many photos taken of the car, in sometimes unflattering but natural sunlight, in order for our prospective buyers to be able to see true and reliable images of the car advertised and that is the reason for some seemingly duplicated shots. We trust you will agree.
West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely exceptional and great daily driving and completely rust free example of this mostly all original 1957 Cadillac Coupe De Ville 2 door Hardtop in a beautiful two-tone 'Dusty Rose Poly over Silver' color paint and with a gorgeous condition 'Silver Brocade Pattern Cloth & Black leather' broadcloth interior with factory specifications and options including power steering, power brakes, power windows, heater and defroster, 6 way power seats, original radio, back-up lights and it's original 365/300HP V8 engine!
The 1957 Cadillac Coupe De Ville was priced only some $200 less than the Series 62 convertible of the same year and was one of the highest priced cars of its day - and with good reason - fifties excess had virtually reached its peak with Cadillac boasting bigger cars with more chrome and larger fins than ever before! These cars bristled with the latest in modern appointments and had few rivals in the luxury market with a recession making owning one only for the very privileged elite.
Obviously always garaged and well maintained. The floor boards, trunk and all the typical rust-prone areas are completely solid and rust-free and the car has no signs of any accidents - obviously an always cherished 'Garage Queen' since new. The car has very presentable two-tone color paint and a beautiful two tone 'Silver Brocade Pattern Cloth & Black leather' interior which is in exceptional and in mostly completely original specification condition throughout. All the chrome is also in absolutely exceptional condition.
The 365 V8 engine is extremely strong and powerful and sounds absolutely magnificent and this particular car drives absolutely magnificently - must be driven to be believed - does not miss a beat and purrs like a kitten - drives straight as an arrow with no strange road wobbles, shakes or rattles - a truly remarkable daily driver that will give any modern day car a run for it's money! The transmission shifts smoothly through the gears and the car has four good tires and its original factory hubcaps!
Please note that the car has a reassigned VIN number from its original issued by the CA DMV which matches the car's title and which we understand to be due to its original VIN tag having been reportedly mistakenly removed from the door jam during its restoration. Quite possible and not an unusal event due to the extremely fragile nature of the VIN plates attached to the door jams of Cadillac models of this period.
All the options work as they should including all the power options and the car boasts its original spare wheel and jack in the truck.
This is a rare opportunity to own a great daily driving example of a mostly completely original 1957 Cadillac Coupe De Ville in very fine condition throughout!
