Desirable Options. Exceptional Conditon ThroughoutIt has been rightly said that. in terms of aesthetics. the 1941 Cadillac model lineup was the pinnacle of pre-war American design. Combining the style of Dusenberg. the grace of LaSalle. and the bravado of Cord. the 1941 Cadillac was a masterpiece of the Torpedo body style design. with flowing curves emanating from the bold and distinctive grille design for which they were famous. Coupled with the marques characteristically advanced engineering that was seldom seen in competing products. it was a truly remarkable package in its time. The sole available engine. Cadillacs highly developed 346-cubic inch V-8. delivered smooth and refined operation. with 150 horsepower. and plenty of torque. Even by todays standards. the ride and handling characteristics are superb. making these late pre-war Cadillacs an excellent choices for collectors and enthusiasts who have driving at mind. The 1941 Convertible Coupe is one of the last pre-war Cadillac convertibles ever built. and for that reason they are particularly desirable to collectors today. By the middle of 1941. there were already mandatory cutbacks to auto production. by February 1942. automobile production was halted completely. making this vehicle one of the very last produced in the period immediately preceding WWII. The award-winning Convertible Coupe shown here is an original. numbers matching car. previously from the 25-year ownership of a seasoned American car collector. The fit and finish of this Cadillac is exact down to the very last detail. so it comes as no surprise that the car is in fact an AACA National First Place Winner. The stellar Tuxedo Black paintwork. performed just last year. contrasts beautifully with the exceptional. and original. red leather interior. The wood dash and chrome trim are in the same superior condition. and everything from the heater box to the dash mounted clock are in top notch detailed condition. Options on this car include a three-speed manual transmission. a Deluxe heating system with fresh air vent and defrosters. and most notably. a vacuum operated power convertible top. All electrical systems and ancillary items are in perfect working order. including the power convertible top. and all mechanicals are well-sorted and properly functioning. The car starts on command and is exceptionally reliable. with the cool running motor able to cover large spans in a single bound.
