Chevrolet Chevelle 1970 Description

1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 Sport Coupe Located near PORTLAND, OREGON. This 1970 Chevelle SS 454 Sport Coupe was produced at the Van Nuys, California factory. It is a true factory 454. According to the data plate it was originally painted in Desert Sand color (dull!) with Antique Saddle color fabric. In 1996, with approximately 55,000 miles on the odometer, it was repainted in correct 1970 Classic White color with Black rallye striping. The vinyl top was replaced at that time in black, as well as a full correct interior in black vinyl. The results were stunning. Shortly after completion, it was purchased by the current owner who has kept it for the last 20 years. During the current ownership the engine was completely rebuilt. It was bored from 454 to 468 cubic inches. Edelbrock intake manifolds were added with the stock exhaust manifolds. It has been dyno tested at over 500 horsepower. (Dyno test CD and a thick file of all rebuild and service records from the last 20 years are included.) 3.73:1 Posi-Traction rear end added. Dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and heat shields. "Fast and loud" when wanted. SEE VIDEO OF ENGINE RUNNING. The electrical system was rebuilt including new circuit board and all gauges and lights. Rebuilt heater. AM/FM Cassette Stereo with rear speakers added. Newer BF Goodrich Radial T/A white letter tires wrap the sport mag wheels with beauty rings. Over the past 20 years the owner has enjoyed it for nearly 35,000 miles. Recently the automatic transmission was completely rebuilt. Converted to B&M floor shifter. Shifts perfectly. This is a well maintained, seasoned restoration showing only normal wear. Some bubbling under the vinyl top is noted at the rear deck and a few bubbles are noted under the paint at the extreme bottom of the front fender. NO rust-through or rot. Clean, solid undercarriage. Always garaged. Overall very good condition and ready for many more years and miles of enjoyment. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS which were just taken for this listing. The only reason for selling is to make room in the garage. If you are looking for a solid 454 Chevelle with many documented upgrades, this is a good one! A realistic reserve has been placed on this car in keeping with its condition. Please bid accordingly. WE WILL HAPPILY SELL TO BIDDERS WORLDWIDE. Thanks for looking and GOOD LUCK!
