MORE IMAGES HERE!The classic just-had-a-baby-so-selling-the-toy-deal49 Chevy Styleline -- Ratrod / CrusierExcellent running vehicle. Only driven during the summers and garage kept on a battery tender during the winters. Still a 6V car with a battery replaced Sept. 2013. Recently updated some original wiring that was causing a short to blow out headlights. Glass:Passenger side windshield has a large crack/webbing through it. Also. drivers side rear window is cracked as well. I always keep the windows down so it never bothered me. Rest of the glass is original and crack free. Window seals are original and therefore total garbage so don't get yourself stuck in the rain!Tires/Caps:Might as well be new. I could count the mileage on them with 4 fingers. Original Chevy caps come with the car. Body/Paint:Pretty good shape. A previous owner must have taken panels off to paint it at some point so the fit at some places can be a little off (Top of the trunk lid rubs -- can probably tell in the picture from the back corner). At some point someone put some new metal in the rear wheel wells. A little bit of rust at the bottom rear corners of the back doors. Primer isn't perfect as can be seen in the pics but more than presentable for the ratrod/cruiser that it is. Electrical:Headlights and brights. taillights. and brake lights all work. No turn signals. Radio is there but not hooked up -- no speakers either. I recommend a portable bluetooth speaker paired with your phone. Drivetrain:Original 217 straight 6 motor. Runs great. Never have a problem starting up. New air filter. fuel filter. belt. spark plugs and fresh oil. Can burn a little oil so I tend to top it off now and then but it doesn't eat anything drastic. Transmission was taken off the column and put on the floor by the last owner. Unfortunately they did a bit of a hack job in doing so so I went ahead and had a Hurst 3-speed shift kit professionally installed. Clutch and trans have no issues. Slight oil drip -- maybe the size of a half dollar every couple of weeks when it's been driven regularly. Brakes:New shoes on the fronts and brake wheel cylinders rebuilt including new hydraulic hoses. Have the kits for the rears -- just never bothered to do them. Emergency brake does not work. I haven't actually taken the time to check *why* since I planned on doing that if/when I did the rear brakes and just haven't done them. Exhaust:False dual exhaust with new mufflers. Interior:Pretty much new. No blemishes on the seats or headliner. New carpeting and door panels as well. Misc:Two front lap belts are newly installed. No belts in the back though. Car was lowered by the previous owner (you can see the blocks in some of the pics). Every zirk fitting I could find on the front end has been greased with Royal Purple. New stabilizer bar links and bushings. "Wolf Whistle" style horn. Not a clue what the actual mileage is. As of this listing it is 77218 but since it's only a 5-digit odometer I couldn't tell you how close that is. I also have 2 crates of misc. parts that were given to me when I purchased the vehicle that are included in addition to additional spark plugs. headlights. an oil filter. new and uninstalled window felt. 49 Chevy shop manual and the rear brake rebuild kit. Basically. everything that I have related to this car will be included with it. OH. also. I do have the side skirts for the rear wheels - I preferred them off but they are included! Not sure if I'm forgetting anything. All I can say it is this Chevy is very fun to cruise around in without the stress of driving a trailer queen show car. Turn it into a full blown ratrod or keep it as is -- ready to ride. I drive it fairly often including the highway on occasion but I would recommend trailering it if you plan on taking it any significant distance which I hope goes without saying with a car like this. If you have any questions that I haven't addressed I'll happily answer them. Additionally. if you want a photo of something specific please let me know and I can get you that as well. Local pick-up only. All arrangements to be made by buyer.
