Chevrolet Corvair 1965 Description

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope it will answer any questions you may have. YES, his is the 3rd time I have listed My Corvair. The same buyer that backed out on the first auction, on it again on the second auction & backed out again. The car is as advertised, o hidden fees or legitimate reason for the backing out. I am not a car salesman, am a car guy. I am not a Corvair specialist, owever I am becoming one quickly enough. This car was pulled out of a field in the high desert by me. The car had been sitting for some 24 maybe more years unregistered and uncovered. I get a lot of questions about rust, have learned that these cars seem to have a few places where they rust out. Like in the front driver-side windshield. This car had none of that. No bubbling in the normal places either wheel wells, ower door frame ect. The car is a Los Angeles build. The build tag shows Corsa, ellow, inted windshield. The life it had before me I could not even guess. I know the owner before passed away, fter investing some money on suspension and motor work. No, do not have receipts or written affidavits. I can tell you and show you, he car is solid. Why the salvage title?? I was upset about that as well, s my original plan was a total restoration of the car. Was it salvage before I got it? I do not know. I was told that California will Salvage a title if the car goes ten or more years not registered and no on a "Non op", as that the reason? I can't say. The motor. Most likely not original. I address the build tag later, nd if you are a Corvair fan it will make sense. Those are 17" wheels on the car, hey do not rub because the car does not sag. It tracks straight. I know the worth of the car, nd I know what others are asking and getting. I understand the blemish on the title is discouraging. The price I am asking is fair. The car has plenty of "New" parts and plenty of "Restored" parts. This car is 50 years old. Drives well, akes awesome pictures, can't seem to get a bad picture from it. Getting close to 700 miles driven for me.
I have a link to a Flickr page that will show the car from Find to Finish. I cant seem to be able to place it in the ad please ask & I will send it.
1965 Chevy Corvair Corsa Convertible with a 180 HP Turbo. This car is a driver not amuseumpiece, its a car you drive. Front disk brakes, o not stock, utdefinitely a great up grade. This car leaks no oil sounds cool and runs well.Green is a tough color to get good pictures of. Personally I feel the color in person is a bit deeper than the color seen in the pictures. The Build plate does not have the elusive "O" but doeshavethe "U". The car looks great, lways get thumbs up, drive it around runningerrands and have taken it on a few long drives. Lots of redone and new parts. All the rubber and weather stripping from the top to the doors and the deck lid and hood all new, indow fuzzies all replaced. Interior completely redone seats carpet door panels arm rests and pads. Keys correct for the year andmatched. Turbo is the 180hp and the motor was "recently" redone. Along with most of the suspension, lutch and brakes. Manual top was removed sand blasted oiled and reassembled, ewcanvas.Any questions PLEASE ask. If you are local please come by. Need more pictures ask, an send a link to Flickr. Always open for buy now offers and of course a chat. Please make sure everything is in order before bidding. Sold AS-IS.... Thank you.
