Selling my 1965 Impala Convertible all original numbers match 327, 4bbl and manual shift transmission car(originally on the column, but relocated professionally to floor(If I did not point it out you would think it was factory floor shift car all work was performed to represent as an original factory floor shift car)PS, PB. Included is the original build sheet, complete history paperwork, original owners manual and invoices for all work performed by me from professional restoration shops.
This is an all original numbers match 327 / 4 bbl / manual drive-train built in Van Nuys California GM plant convertible Impala(SOLID WEST COST CAR). The body is as original, solid and rust free as you could hope for. The car has all its original rust free body panels, frame and trunk pan with no repairs of any kind. The car has had a beautiful extensive detailed body on restoration. The car starts first crank, idles, runs, shifts and stops perfectly(No ticks, no smoke, no leaks, no shaking((I would encourage you to drive the car home if you want to turn the purchase into an adventure....the car is very dependable)). The car holds perfect temperature in the hot Florida climate without any issues. I just drove the car to Tampa(4 hours from my home on I-75 aprox 270 miles round trip at 75MPH today to visit family and the car performed perfectly....a joy to drive).
The car is always garage kept/maintained its entire life and purchased by me from same owner who is 85 yrs old(original owner-GM mechanic for 40yrs). The car is located in Florida 33983. I encourage all serious buyers to come inspect the car before bidding. All international buyers are welcome. I will assist with shipping, but shipping is the buyers responsibility. The car is sold in used as is condition. The car is titled/insured/registered in my name with clean Florida title. I am Law Enforcement for 22yrs(no games please). Complete original numbers matching 327 engine has had a full rebuild to stock with less than 20k miles since rebuild completed(this was completed by original owner during his employment by GM as an mechanic for 40yrs). The engine is in excellent working order(starts, idles and runs flawlessly). The transmission is in the same condition as well as the rest of the drive-train.
All of the work and parts listed below were just completed last month-September 2016 with receipts in my name which will be included to document work.
All of the restoration work was completed by quality restoration professionals.
Complete new brake system: All new original factory bent / coated brake lines-front to back / factory spring covers, new brake hoses(front to rear). All new wheel cylinders, spring kits, shoes, drums, master cylinder and power booster.
Engine compartment is beautifully restored with attention to detail and originality.
Complete new control arm bushings, shocks, belts, all hoses, original Harisson radiator serviced(boiled/flushed). All engine brackets, covers, air cleaner misc parts soda blasted and repainted correct colors. New Tires, Shocks, Gaskets, Plugs, Wires, Ignition switch, Battery and Battery cables(basically everything in the engine compartment). I had HEI distributor and 1 wire 100 amp alternator installed to improve on reliability (The Original points distributor and coil included). New 100 amp one wire alternator in original OEM finish(orignal alternator and voltage regulator included).. The wiring is clean and professionally done to factory spec.
New exhaust included.
Hidden sound system(stereo receiver with MP-3-Bluetooth and remote control)4 speaker system(2 speakers behind rear seat and 2 speakers under dash. The system sounds great and is not visible. The original radio is still in the dash.
All of the above completed by professional certified mechanic who is very respected in our area for restoration work with receipts.
Complete new interior by PUI (front and rear door panels, new conv top cylinder covers, new PUI seat covers, new PUI seat foam / springs all seats(all seats including upper / lower sections). New carpet. Rear arm rest and cylinder covers redone in factory and build sheet correct covers, grain and syle.
New Electron brand convertible top with rear glass windows(Electron is the best quality top made and double the cost of other brands(you get what you pay for....no short cuts). New pads,cables....everything. Top works as new and locks into place without effort. All windows are in excellent working condition.
Convertible top frame sanded and professionally restored before new top installation.
Complete new soft seal convertible top weather strip kit.
Complete new soft seal body kit: door weather strip kit, trunk and A-pillar.
Car is original Regal red car with Red interior on cowl tag/build sheet. Has had 1 repaint 12 yrs ago and shows great for age(base coat/clear coat). All chrome and stainless is original and presents beautifully. Car is straight and great gap/body lines. All windows operate perfectly.
