Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1956 Description
I have for sale a very decent 1956 Chevrolet 4 Door. It has had one titled owner since new so you will be the second registered owner. Title is clear in original owners name. I have most of the yearly registration cards that were issued when you bought plates.. I have a picture of the first one included. Chevy was bought new in Milnor North Dakota and stayed there it's entire life. I have a picture of dealership name on the trunk where car was bought new. The last 15 years of the Chevy's life it was pretty much in storage and not used. Has 109,000 miles. 235 6 cylinder engine was rebuilt about 50,000 miles ago. Had a new clutch then. Have receipts for that. Many years ago the car was repainted. I think the passenger rear door was replaced as the chrome is not the same as the car. The top of the front fenders were repaired as you can see bondo above headlight rings on under side of fender lip. The body on the Chevy is very solid. If you sand blasted the body you would find minor rust in the dog leg of rearfender on insidepassenger side, minor rust in lower front corner of front passenger door, Minor rust in floor where front seat mounts on passenger side toward the rocker and top of front fenders. Rockers themselves are very solid. One cross member on bottom of car is starting to show minor rust also. I included pictures of bottom of car to show floor and frame. As you can see there is surface rust but nothing serious. Also notice how clean the rockers are with the original drain holes still there. I included a picture of the spare wheel tub under the car so you can see that's still solid also. Trunk floor is very solid and the original jack is still here. No rust that I can see in back quarters.235 6 cylinder that's complete original under the hood. Since I've had the car I've started it several times and let it run for a while each time. The more it runs the better it sounds. Runs very smooth and still has the original style single exhaust with tailpipe. Clutch works good and 3 speed column shift works good. There are no brakes on the car so I haven't drove it down the road. I've just drove it around my property. As for the interior the seats are in decent shape, door panels are original. Headliner has a couple tears and is stained (old). Dash is original. Some of the lights on the car need attention as they don't work. Dome light still works. Heater controls will need help also as I don't think they move. Might be able to just lube the cables up. Three doors have windows that are cracked. I think that should give you a good idea of what your bidding on. All this being said the paint is old and showing it's age, Chevy would need the brakes completely gone through to be safe to drive. All fluids should be changed. I'd give it a complete tune-up. Check all lights. Replace the glass. After that I think you would have a dependable driver with a good story. I've included 24 pictures of the car. I will end the auction if we can agree on a fair price. Feel free to ask questions as needed.I have the car listed under my girlfriends Ebay site. I have been a member since 2001 and have 100% good feedback. The 56 is located at my place about 45 miles from town listed. It can sit here until you can arrange to pick it up. I just want it paid for after you win the auction. Enjoy bidding and thanks for looking at our car!!!
