Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1957 Description
1957 2 door hardtop BelAir Chevrolet straight axel gasser.
New Imron flat black paint on a very straight, no rust, California car with rear wheel modification for wide tires.
The rebuilt 355 ci engine has fewer than 25 miles, never raced and paint completed in May.
Runs on pump gas and has a very distinctive sound through the 30 inch mufflers, or unhook them for some real sound.
It has a rebuilt 355 ci small block with tunnel ram, Comp cams Muther Thumper cam, 10 to 1 pistons, fender well headers with side exhaust, ported heads for around 350 to 400 horsepower tied to a M21 Muncie four speed.
Car is set up for the drag strip with 6 point roll cage, bucket seats, 5 point harness's, drive shaft loop, spool in rear end with 3.91 gears in a Chrysler rear end.
Old time Ansen Sprint polished wheels, 4" in front and 10" in back with drag radials.
All stainless trim polished, new glass in all windows and nicely chromed rear bumper.
The car was purchased in 1985 from the Fomosa Raceway where it spent most of its life, then stored in Oregon until 2003 when I installed the straight front axel, roll cage and completed the car to show, race and cruise.
