Chevrolet Chevelle 1965 Description
I absolutely love this old car and do not really want to sell it. Sometimesthings just work out that way.Below is a completely honest descriptionfrom what i knowabout the car.The good1/The car was completely disassembled media blasted sealed and painted using PPG base coat clear coat and in my opinion looks very nice and shines like glass.I have not seen any noticeable imperfections.Keep in mind i am not an expertbut have been around old cars a long time.I would rate the paint a 9 out of 10.2/Mechanically i have went throughall the componentsand either made them new again or up graded them.Motor =1965 327 rebuilt with new MSD HEI Edelbrock carb and manifold with less than 2000 miles on it all.All the brake lines have been replaced with new and it has new frontdisc brakes and modern Power brake booster with drum'son the rear. They work perfectly. The transmissionis a brand new under warranty 700R4 with a mild shift kit built to handle up to 450 HP.It has been installed perfectly using a kit from California shift works that locks and unlocks the torque converterat the perfect speeds and when the brakes are applied just like it should. Its is a joy to drive and cruises down the highwayperfectly at 70 mph around2000 rpms. The rear end has been completely rebuilt and functions perfectly.(I would change the gears to a 373 if i get to keep the car just for more low end stop light fun.I think it has 308s now)All of the Rubber body mount, front end bushings etc..are all new.The frame and under body have all been painted and the the under body was shot with noise deadening Lizard skin. The trunk has been factory speckle painted inside and looks nice. The trunk runner is also new.All new fuel tank sending unit and fuel linesAll of the rubber seals are new on the car.The heater core and all its hardware are new and work perfectly. The radiator it a 4 core and is new and works perfectly.I run a 160 degree thermostat in the summer and a 195 in the cooler months if the weather is nice. All of the gauges work as they should. All of the brake lights, turn signals etc...work as the should. minus the liscence plate lights which are simply not hooked up.90 percent of all the chrome is new or in very good condition. There are still a couple piecesthat could be replaced that would make the car perfect. The interior is near perfect and all new minus the visors which i have not had time to put on.The shiftierhas been professionallyconverted to look stock and function just as it should with the 700r4 down to the indicator lensthat tells you what gear your in.The kit was bought from Shift works in California. This car was originallya 2 spd power glide.
Things i had plans to do to the carAdd a factory power steering kit from OPGIChange the rear end gears to 373Add a tiltsteering columnHave the door window heights adjusted .They are about 1/4 inch from rolling up all the way.Not sure why.I am sure its nothing to crazy.I just haven'thad time to have it done.
This is an honest true SS car and is very nice to drive. It gets a lot of attention .You will not be disappointedfor the money i am asking in my reserve.I have seen cars that arent this nice going for 40k plus.I reserve the right to sell locally or end the auction at anytime .If you are seriousand want to purchase this car i would prefer a face to face transaction so both parties are happy..I am an honest guy and will entertain a fair offer.Cas, Cashiers check verifiedbefore possessionis taken or the car is shipped.Buyer pays for and arranges shipping.I will help load once the funds clear. This car is my baby and will not leave until payment has cleared.
