Chevrolet Other Pickups 1957 Description
Here's a real cool eye catcher. Its a 1957 Chevy short wheel base panel truck. In my opinion the best year of the panels and pretty rare at that. This is a running and driving truck that you can use for your shop, shows, or as a rolling billboard for your business or store front. It catches everyone's attention, even if they aren't a car enthusiast. It sports a pretty good running chevy v8 with newer rams horn manifolds that tuck in nicely. It does seem that it needs valve seals as it will smoke on initial startup for a few seconds after sitting a few days. It never bothered me enough to change them but i did want to mention it. It has some nice old school finned valve covers and a brand new gm chrome 1 wire alternator.
Transmission is a 4 speed I believe SM420 . Shifts very nicely and has a newer clutch.Awesome Old skool shifter with Dice Knob.
Rear axle has been completely over hauled except for gear set. All new Timken bearings and seals throughout.
The whole truck was rewired with a high quality Speedway harness with mini fuse panel.
New blue tooth headunit and speakers tucked in the fresh air vents. New headlight switch, turnsignal switch, horn button, highbeam switch, 3 gauge pod, etc. New Interstate battery.
Has a newer Chevy van seat up front, Brand new Custom door panels front and rear.Brand new Grant steering wheel and install kit. The interior wood floor is new plywood which has been stained . Their is some white panel board on the roof and the side interior walls. Not professionally done but looks pretty good and really brightens it up inside !
The body had rust around the rear wheel lips and lower quarters. They were fiber glassed, not perfect but this is a driver and not a 30K vehicle. The inner trunk extensions are rusty along with the front lower cowls where they meet the front floor. Its nothing that needs to be taken care of right away or ever really unless you planned on doing a full show quality resto. All in all shes a little rough around the edges but presents well. The front fenders are fiberglass aftermarket pieces. the hood was a rust free hood from texas. Doors had lower patches installed, and also new entry steps welded in. Drip rails were also shaved . The exterior was coated in UV resistant MONSTALINER with the color being called "turquila" which really fits the 50's look. Its a colored textured (smooth) armor which is used in the automotive industry a lot for interior exterior coatings. It is not a cheap product by any means and can be easily touch up at any time. The only thing that is base coat clear is the white on the sides of the panel which is ready for a business lettering in vinyl or paint .
All new lenses for signals/brakes installed, new peep mirrors, new door handles, new door latches, new hood latch, new gas pedal, the list goes on.
It sits on stock suspension with 33" super swamper radials. No mods were made to fit. Can go back to stock just by swapping wheels. New lug nuts all around, New brake master cylinder and hardlines.
What it needs: Speedo cable, heater blower hooked u, fuel gauge hooked up.front windshield has some fog in the corners.
I have the factory rear barn door hinges and some other parts laying around ill throw in. Also have a spare set of complete rear barn doors you can have.
Other then that make it your own!The hard parts done.I've done the best of my ability to describe the vehicle. If you have any questions or need more pictures just ask! Clear title . Will assist in loading if getting shipped.
Sold as is where is no warranty's or returns. This is a 60 year old vehicle.
