Body:
The car is finished in Astro Blue (the original color of the car). The body is rust free and straight with good body gaps. The paint is not perfect (maybe 7 or 8 out of 10) but fits right in at car shows or cruise-ins. Brand new windshield. The rest of the glass in the car is original and shows minor scratches, but is in decent shape. Hood and window trim in excellent shape. Bumpers are new AMD brand and in perfect shape. New door handles, locks, and side mirror. Brand new weatherstripping (doors, window felts, trunk, hood seal). All lights work. Doors have new hinge pins and rebuilt door latches. Doors, hood, and trunk close and latch beautifully).
Suspension:
Nearly brand new Torq Thrust TTO's (15X7's all the way around) with Firestone Wide Oval bias ply tires (F70-15) with less than 400 miles on them. New polyurethane bushings and pads for the leaf springs, control arms, and body mounts. Brand new disc brake conversion with new master cylinder and proportioning valve. All new drums, shoes, and wheel cylinders for the rear brakes. New tie rod ends, pitman arm, idler arm, and shocks. New big block springs in the front with new leaf springs in the rear. New gas tank and sending unit. All new Jegs 2.5 inch dual exhaust. New u joints. Underside of body was sealed with POR 15 and fresh undercoating.
Interior:
Solid floor pans sealed with POR 15 and covered in new carpet. Brand new door panels (including new window cranks, handles, and front armrests), dash pad, seat covers, head liner and sail panels. Brand new GM style 3 spoke steering wheel with functioning horn. Instrument panel is clean with brand new in-dash tach and functioning speedometer (with new speedo cable) and gas gauge. New temp and oil pressure gauges. New shifter ball. Clean and complete set of seat belts. New door sill plates. New rear view mirror. Heater controls are rebuilt and function with new decal and plastic lens. New pedal covers and trim. Over all, the interior is very clean.
Powertrain:
Four bolt main 350 recently balanced and bored .030 over with 10.0:1 compression hypereutectic pistons and new pushrods. Scorpion brand aluminum heads with 64 cc chambers, 210 cc runners, and 2.02/ 1.60 stainless valves. Comp Cams XE274 with new hardened pushrods and full roller rockers. Edelbrock performer manifold and new Edelbrock 750 cfm carb. New one-wire alternator and new mini-starter. New aluminum radiator (painted black). All new hoses, belts, water pump, fuel pump, fan. New Ram Muscle Car clutch kit. Muncie M-21 four speed with Hurst shifter. 8.5 inch 10 bolt with new 4.10 gears and new Yukon limited slip. Engine was rebuilt to look stock, but is estimated to be in the 350 horsepower range.
Issues with the car: This is a 46 year old car with 4.10 gears and Bias Ply tires, so freeway driving isn't terribly practical. It has a few of the squeeks and creeks that these muscle cars have. The car runs a little rich and has the common Edelbrock stumble off idle that goes away when the car reaches full temperature. Sometimes it takes a few seconds to start the motor. These are all things that can be tuned out or fixed with a different carburetor. There is an oil leak in the engine and the trans, but not that bad. The four speed shifts fine, but the shifter and linkage may need to be fine-tuned. Front tires sometimes rub on the bottom of the fender with the wheels turned. Timing mark is aparently in the wrong spot, so car has been timed with the vacuum guage method. I wanted to be clear on any issues so you aren't surprised, but all in all, these aren't big problems and the car drives just fine and is very fun on the streets.
I recommend looking at the car in person or having a friend look it over, if possible. Email me with any questions. Buyer is responsible for shipping, but I will be available to help load. A down payment of $500.00 dollars is due within 48 hours and full payment is due within one week in the form of cash, bank transfer, or cashier's check (car will not be released until payment has cleared). Car will be relisted if payment is not made, NO EXCEPTIONS! Title is clear and in my name.
