Chevrolet Other Pickups 1953 Description

Go to 1953chev3100.shutterfly.com for over 200 photos of both trucks. The pictures showing a much more solid body are of the 3100 and the rougher ones are of the 3600. THE 3600 PARTS TRUCK IS NOT INCLUDED BUT IS AVAILABLE TO WINNING BIDDER OF THE 53 FOR $500 additional.
For sale here I have my solid original Ks farm found 1953 Chevrolet 3100 with clear Ks title that matches the engine number. Along with a 1949 Chevrolet 3600 parts truck with Ks title to its engine. Both trucks have the serial plates on them but in Kansas these trucks were titled to the engines when new. The 3100 was running when parked in a field around 40 years ago. The engine is 100% complete and still turns over easy and I've done nothing to free it up. The transmission seems to be stuck in neutral. This is an original paint mostly untouched truck! Someone did decide to shoot out some glass and bust out the gauges over the 40 years. This is a very low rust truck with almost none in the cowl and kick panels. There is still factory paint on the cowl inside of the fender wells. The outer cowl doesn't have the typical crease in them from the doors blowing open. Theres a small amount of rust in the floor and under the seat due to the water coming in. The rockers and cab corners are solid as are the running boards, hood and front fenders. There is a little bit of damage to the grille. The back of the cab has dents in it as does the bed and rear fenders from years of work on a farm. The rear fenders have some welds on them to repair damage over the years. The tailgate is dented from use as well. The front bed panel is the worst panel on the entire truck it is dented along the top and rusted badly along the bottom. A couple of the bed sills have rust in them as well. The frame of the truck is solid from front to back. This truck would make an excellent patina hot rod or a nice worn original driver.
AVAILABLE FOR $500 EXTRA.The parts truck is a 1949 Chevrolet 3600 with rust in the typical places for these trucks. The beltline, cowl, kick panels, floor and fenders all have rust. This truck has a complete dash with factory AM radio, a nice spotlight, good hood and a unique looking heater. THE DOORS AND DS HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY PICTURED ON THE 3600 ARE NOT INCLUDED I"M KEEPING THEM FOR MY PANEL TRUCK. I'll include another pair of doors I have that are in a little lesser shape and aren't green with the truck. The cost for the parts truck bought with the 3100 is $500 FIRM. I won't sell parts off of the 3600 and I won't sell it separately until the buyer of the 3100 decides if they want it. If the buyer wants me to pull parts off of the 3600 to send with the 3100 to save on transport costs I will do that but the cost of those parts will still be $500. The trucks are located in Ottawa, Kansas. All buyers are welcome.
Thanks and good luck bidding!
