Chevrolet Impala 1973 Description

I am listing my 1973 Impala that has been restored as a Santa Cruz, CA. police car. It has 38,000 original miles, and I am the second owner. I started with an all blue Impala, with no rust, and a near perfect interior and chrome trim. I then researched what agency used that color blue, and found Santa Cruz, CA. did. I had a quality repaint done to match original photos of their cars in that era. After that, I located the correct light bar, had decals made, converted the 350 engine to a 4 barrel (with an original cast intake, and new Quadrajet carb) detailed the engine bay, installed new valve guide seals, valve cover gaskets, new plugs and wires, gas tank sending unit, new rear air shocks, new dual exhaust with turbo mufflers, new tires, and a new A/C compressor. I also added a new 200 amp alternator to run the police lights.
All the police lights work (except for the spotlight, which is wired in but will not come on for some reason), the siren has two settings and works great, the headlights have the "wig-wag" flashers installed. The radio is period correct, but not working. I have also added a ticket writing type map light that works from the cigarette lighter. The car will come with a period correct uniform hat, and jacket (with real Santa Cruz Police patches sewn on).
During the re-paint we removed some of the Impala moldings (like the window trim and wheel moldings) to give it a more stripped down look. We converted the light bar to have the correct light setup for CA., but I did not install the correct dome on the driver's side with an amber rear facing window (these are very rare, but could be made). The spot light needs a new bulb or switch to work. The A/C needs a new POA valve installed and charged. The new valve comes with the car. The only mechanical issues left are a droning noise that comes from the car at certain speeds (we have inspected the trans and rear end, but could not find the source). and the electric choke could use better adjustment. This car sat more than it was driven, and the droning may work itself out if driven more mechanics have told me.
All work has been done within the last year, and it is a hit with kids and parents at shows. It has won many awards, and been in several parades. If you don't like attention, this is not the car for you! Call or text me at: 402-843-0287 with questions or offers.
