Short Description

This just finished show quality ’67 RS/SS Camaro delivers iconic 60’s muscle car looks together with modern power from a 2013 Camaro LS3 engine and its 6 speed automatic transmission, with upgraded and modernized interiors, electrical, brake, cooling, fuel, and exhaust systems to modern new condition. Show quality Glacier Silver Pearl BMW paint finish with DuPont clear coat and Rally Sport stripes. (added after initial photos taken – see later photo with RS stripes). Custom new interiors with C5 Corvette front power seats, power windows, and new black/grey leather & vinyl upholstery. Combining iconic first-generation Camaro style with today’s finishes, mechanicals, and systems quality, it has been test driven and is ready to drive, show, and enjoy.

During the 22 month build, beginning in Sept 2014, the Camaro body was customized and mated with a modern 430 hp LS3 Camaro motor together with it’s 6 speed 6L80E automatic transmission and the original 3.07 posi-traction rear end and axles. Every part, bolt, and nut was disassembled and either restored to better than original, or replaced with new parts. It retains all original body steel. Where it was appropriate to do so, original systems were restored or replaced with new parts, including power steering, new power disk brakes, 4 power windows, C5 Corvette power front bucket seats, new steering wheel, new center console with shift, new gauges, new radio, new speakers and Rally Sport appearance equipment.

Original ’67 Camaro

These options included Granada Gold paint with a black vinyl top, a custom interior with Gold custom bucket seats, Group 1 power windows, Group 2 Powerglide transmission and center console, Group 3 rear window defogger, Z23 interior décor, special gauges, clock, Z22 Rally Sport (RS) Equipment, Group 4 optional Super Sport (SS) 350 V-8 engine, and the Group 5 Appearance Group including bumper guards, floor mats, door edge guards, and custom shoulder belts.

Custom Body Modifications

Custom body modifications include a new front-hinged, reverse opening, gas shock-assisted Cowl Induction hood and shaved emblems. All body gaps are perfect. Modern Corvette operators replaced the original headlight door operators.

Chassis & Suspension

The Camaro’s chassis remains factory stock in specification except for new Ridetech front shocks and coil springs specifically designed for ’67 Camaro ride quality and stance plus new rear shocks. The chassis rides on a new set of American Racing polished aluminum Torq-Thrust wheels with new all-season high-performance tires.

Electrical

The electrical system features all new wiring harnesses, relays, gauges, switches and battery.

Heating and Air Conditioning
