I came across this truck from a gentleman in minnesota who converts classic chevy trucks onto S-10 frames as a hobby. He drove this truck for over 2 years when he decided it was time for a new project so he called me. I bought it and drove it home over 150 miles. It rode and drove like a dream with no issues. The truck cab is a 1937 chevy truck and retains the vin number and plate along with the title that matches. I just put the title in my name so it is clean and current and ready for you to register! The truck was rat roded onto a s10 frame with the original 4 cyl engine and 5 speed transmission and brakes. The truck then had the nose fenders, box and running boards added to complete the rat rod look. It is running off the original guages and wire harness of the s10. All of the guages are working except for the speedometer. All of the lights work as the video shows and this is a truck you can use as a daily driver rat rod show truck shop truck etc. I was told that the frame has rust which he addressed and reinforced before he put the body on it, I took pics and video of the undercarriage and it looks good. It has plexi glass for the door windows and they go up and down as video shows. The doors all open and shut like they should. The hood latches like it should. This is just a really cool patina driver. I started it in ten degree -25 degree windchill when we ran it for the video and it fires right up. It has a button for a electric fuel pump to help it fire up right away when it has been sitting for a while. works great. I drove it personally about 40 miles from my house to my shop and it handled beautifully. I noticed it did not have a heater. The tires are like brand new. The truck drove with no noticeable rattles or noises I heard. Make sure to watch the video as it does a great job in showing you how cool this truck is inside and out and the overall condition of it. This is the perfect truck in my opinion, if you are looking for a attention getting classic Rat rod truck that you can use as a daily driver that will get looks and thumbs up wherever you go. This would be great to use as advertising for your business as well. The 4 cyl engine runs great with no knocks or misses or smoke. The clutch is true and the brakes are good. The only thing that doesn't go with the truck is the front license plate and cowboy plate topper as they are part of my personal collection. all of the other signs/plates on the truck stay with it. As everyone has their own opinion of what a classic hot rod/rat rod truck should be and their own expectations on what quality a build should be, I recommend hiring ebay to do a independant inspection for you or come check the truck out yourself by appointment as I do not keep the trucks in my collection for sale locally at my car lot Teddy's Auto Sales in Waukon Iowa. I require a 500 dollar deposit within 24 hours of auction end. If I do not get the deposit within the time frame or before you come for the truck, I will assume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying it.
