Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1954 Description
This is a 1954 chevy belair 4-door that I have owned for several years. I know most people don't care for four doors, but this car had a beautiful solid body with no serious rust and body damage. I thought it deserved to be put back on the road. I pictured myself driving it to Dairy Queen with my grand kids in the back seat. 2 yearswork and $6800 later I did just that. What resultedis kind of a Restomod/Rat Rod/Cruiser. V8 conversion using Walton Fabrication motor mounts. Small block chevy with Edelbrock manifold, Street Demon carb, HEI distributer fined aluminum valve covers, and 50'sCadillacair cleaner. Automatic transmission 700R4 overdrive with Lokar shifter. New custom driveline, rearend is 3:48 ratio posi from 2002 S10 Extreme. Brakes are power disc brake conversionfrom Walton Fabrication. The rear brakes are rebuilt S-10. All wiring is new with Painless fuse panel, 12 volt conversion, 100 amp alternator, Dolphin gages and instrument cluster, lightsand switches. Radiator is new aluminum 3-row, all belts, hoses, water pump are new.Exhaust system is custom dualexhaust with cherry bombmufflers and aluminized tube.Wheels are speedway smoothies with Coker wide whites. Windshieldand gasket are new. Seats, and door panels are new white tuck-n-roll style. Carpet is turquoise from ACC. Paint is the originalturquoise and white Arizona patina with Satin Clear painted over it to preserve it.The original front suspension wasinspected by an alignment shop, greased, and adjusted. All four shocks are new gas type. Radio is new JVC with modern interfaces for ipod etc. This car is a reliable daily driver and cruises great at 65 MPH.It has the old school bias ply white wall tires for looks, but for serious daily driving on the freeway it could use a set of modern radial tires. The car can be driven and enjoyed like it is, or install a new headliner, paint, andtwo new grill teeth and finish it off.
