Chevrolet Corvette 1975 Description

You are bidding on...

A 1975 Stingray Corvette! This Corvette has an interesting story. Last summer my 15 year old son was at a garage sale down the road from us and saw this beautiful Corvette in their polebarn. Apparently the owner had been restoring it (he was a custom semi-truck trailer builder and had restored a few other Corvettes already) when he passed away from natural causes. That was in 1989 and it sat in his barn since then, ntouched and unfinished. My son thought it would be fun to restore it with his Dad so we bought it. Within a short time they had it running. It was a little difficult to figure out what had already been done and what needs to be done but as far as we know...

The engine has been rebuiltprobably with upgrades. It has a great loud roaring Corvette noise when running! (vin # on engine matches car) The brakes, rame, ires, tc have all been redone or are new. There is a new soft top canvas, ew interiorpanels and seat covers that unfortunately are green and really don't match! Good hood and hard top. Some body work was done to repair fiberglass but more needs to be done. Headlights work and go up and down but a bit slowly sometimes. New battery.

What needs to be done... Interior. I think some of the rear lights aren't working. The biggest thing we ran into was that the windshield frame needs to be replaced and the former owner had already bought the parts but unfortunately didn't complete that. Needs a new windshield too. There is a new ac compressor in the box that needs to be installed. Paint job. The hood is nice, ust not attached (guess the guy took it off to work on it). My son took the bumpers off because the rubber was deteriorating.

It looked really good last summer when we bought it and now, ince some disassembly has happened with the interior and windshield frame, guess it looks worse before it can get better again! We have not driven it since last Sept before it was stored for the winter. The garage it was stored in since we bought it is a somewhat damp garage because of our closeproximity to Lake Michigan, o some of the soft goods (i.e. tops or seats) may have a musty smell and will need airing out.

We are selling because...my parents-in-law sold the house/garage where it is being kept and we don't currently have another spot to store it. It is unlikely, ince my son is starting to save for college, hat he will come up with the $ to have the windshield done and the paint job done. And lastly, e bought 9 vacation rental cottages this spring and have suddenly become so busy, e don't have time tofinish it!! Hey, e could probably even putthe auction winnerup for a night in our cottages if a room was available. sandcastlescottages.com

Please see pics and ask questions. The car does have a clear and clean title. You are welcome to come see it locally in SW MI. Please note, his listing was written by the Mom of the boy who bought this so while I'm doing my best, may have forgotten something important, tc. It greatly grieves my son to sell this car, ut such is life...

Cannot be driven because the frame was taken off the windshield. Sold as is, s found. You will be responsible for removing it and all parts asap. The house/garage needs to be vacated in the next couple weeks.
