Chevrolet Other 1947 Description
Here is a very rare item! It's a 1947 Chevrolet model 4105 Upan dual wheel panel truck. These were made from 1941 to early 1947 with a total production of only 2888. As far as I have been able to find out there are very few of these left in existence and this is the only one I know with the original body and motor and is still running! This particular truck was built in March 1947 at Chevrolet's Oaklan, A plant. After early 1947 Chevy ended the production of this Art Deco series and this truck with its beautiful front grill was no longer available. This is a huge truck. It's a 1.5 ton and measures 11'2" in length and stands 6'11" tall. The question I get asked the most is why did I put dual wheels on it. Very few people have seen this model and they don't realize they were factory built this way. The only things I have done to it were put on new tires, reaks, iring harness and a fuel tank. I also had the wheels powder coated.
I purchased the truck to advertise my business and with the intention of restoring it. As you can see the restoration was put on hold due to other priorities. The truck is on overall great shape and would be an excellent project. It even has the original wood floors in the back. I have done my best to post complete photos but if you don't see something or if you have any questions please feel free to ask anything.
I also have a huge selection of NOS and used parts for the truck which the buyer can purchase separately if they wish. It includes radios, eaters, lugs points and even a complete front grill. It's way too much to list.
You are welcome to contact me if you would like to set up a time to inspect the truck yourself.
The buyer will need to arrange for pick up and shipping themselves.
Thanks for checking out my auction!
