FOR SALE 1969 CAMARO COUPE

This Big Block Chevy Camaro is the result of a 15 Year “OWNER BUILT” as a quality driver Project. It was purchased from the original San Diego owner in March of 2000 as a 327, bl, TH 350, 10 bolt, tone coupe, ith Deluxe white Interior. It had 51,1xx miles on it. It had some rust from the owners fishing hobby. (Rusted in the trunk from years of ocean fishing, nd the lower corners of the front fenders from driving on a ½ mile dirt driveway to a house he was building for retirement. (mud) It was just going to be a driver but I got carried away!!!

CHASSIS UPGRADED : At the front, lobal West tubular upper and lower “A” arms, CP 2” drop spindles, djustable QA1 Coil Over Shocks and Heavy duty sway bar, Wilwood billet hubs, 3” rotors with 6 piston calipers, stopping the 17” x 8” American Racing CL250 5 spoke wheels mounted with 225 x 45 x 17 BFG Rivals. Steering box is original 2 ½ turn power unit that came in the car.

REAR : Competition Engineering Provided the Tubular sub-frame connectors, Spring relocating kit, Stage Four 5 leaf rear springs with Dura-alum bushings. The rear has QA1 single adjustable Rear Shocks, a CURRIE narrowed 9” rear end, ith 31spline axles, oft locker with 3:50:1 ratio. The rear wheels are 17” x 11 in. wide American Racing CL250 5 spoke wheels mounted with 315 x 35 x 17” BFG Drag Radials. They are located inside the 14 inch wide Mini-tubbed rear wheel wells.

BRAKES : Are all Wilwood 6 piston calipers, ront and rear. Fronts with 13” Rotors and 12.19 on rears, They are actuated by a fabricated dual “balance bar” pedal setup with Dual Wilwood ¾” master cylinders. It has B&M Roll Control and all stainless steel brake lines.

ENGINE : Engine is a lightly used 1996 Chevy 454 c.i. short block with 4 bolt mains, upgraded with a complete Edelbrock “Performer” Kit, Heads, am kit, nd timing chain kit, manifold, nd 800cfm carb. The Engine was assembled with ARP fasteners, t has comp. cams stainless roller rockers and HD pushrods. The ignition system is an Accel billet distributor activating a Crane Fireball multi-spark CDI Ignition and coil, SD wires. The headers are retained with Percy’s allen lock exhaust bolts.

Transmission : T.C.I. Street fighter 700R4”, 700 stall converter, pinning an Inland Empire Driveshaft fitted with billet yoke and 1350 U-joints.

BE-COOL Radiator, ith Dual Fans, March Belt Drive Belt system, Sanderson Shorty Headers were modified, hen Ceramic coated, onnected to the 2 ½” custom fabricated exhaust system, hat includes Flowmaster 40 mufflers with full tailpipes. The entire system has been ceramic coated by Flamespray of San Diego.

Dash custom blank from DSE, Fabricated and filled with Auto Meter Gauges, nd billet A/C vents, nd Billet A/C controls for DSE Supplied Vintage Air system, The dash has been Powder coated “Black Wrinkle”, ash cover and reproduction interior parts and trim from Classic Industries. STEERING, didit tilt column, rant wheel. The car wiring was completely replaced with an American Auto Wire classic loom, nd required relays etc.

UPHOLSTERY : Custom TMI “Bolstered” Foam with Seat Covers that were custom sewn by TMI for the stock seats using “Year One” Yellow Hounds tooth material and black vinyl.

The carpet kit is from Classic Industries.

BODY WORK & Fabrications by owner, fiberglass hood by Year One, Eddy Motor Sport Billet Hinges, arquez Billet lights front and rear, Spaghetti Engineering LED tail lights. The Core support was modified to have a larger opening for the radiator and then powder coated along with the inner fender aprons. All assembled with SS fasteners where possible. The battery (Optima) was moved to the trunk, nd is held in place with a Billet mounting bracket. The body, oors, runk and fenders were taken down to bare metal, Hinges rebushed, nbsp;the repairs made : (cut out and welded in patches, nstall a new trunk bottom, ini tub the rear). Then the body was acid etch primed, nd sent to the “Paint Jail” at Benny’s Autobody here in San Diego for a year and a half. The paint job was done as “fill in work” and Pay as you go. The preparation for the paint was handled by Benny’s men, ho did a lot of serious block sanding, hen they applied prime, ase coat, lear, tripes, nd lots more clear, hen color sanded to smooth, uffed finish. PPG PAINT was used throughout. It was re-assembled by owner, hen completely re-wired. There is less than 200 miles on car since completion

UPHOLSTERY : Custom TMI “Bolstered” Foam with Seat Covers Custom Fabricated by TMI with “Year One” Yellow Hounds tooth material. New Deluxe door and quarter panels headliner kit, nd Carpet Kit from Classic Industries.
