Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1955 Description

NO RESERVE. 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 door hardtop body or project car. This car has a lot going for it but it's missing a bunch. It would make a great gasser. The trim tag shows it is a v8 Bel Air with an interior and exterior in 2 tone Gypsy red and shoreline beige. I rattle canned the quarters to give you an idea of a close color combo. The car has new in the box windshield and back glass, but the others are missing. The quarter panels have surface rust but are new. The door skins are new. The passenger skin is just put on over the original skin so it needs to be done right. The drivers door skin is not installed yet. The doors are not on the hinges. The interior full floor pans have been replaced. It needs a trunk floor. I've got to tell you...it looks like a barrel of monkeys did the welding and patch panels on this car. The new rockers need to be redone. The rear quarters are not bad but the door jambs are sloppily riveted on. The trunk floor is a mess and just needs to be replaced. There is no engine, trans, radiator. The frame and rear look to have been painted black. The rain gutters are good. There are dents (not bad) in the roof. There are only small pin holes in some of the window channels and trunk gutters. Not bad at all. The drivers front fender needs some work (shown). There's very little mud in the drivers side headlight brow and none in the pass. side. The hood has a few pinholes. Overall a major project but with a desirable color combo on a hardtop. It's definitely worth doing especially if you have the skill and time. There are no headlights/buckets or front turn signals. The dash is gutted as shown and there's no interior to speak of. I have some of the stainless located and I'm still going through boxes. I know there's more trim and I'll add a few more pics as I find the stuff. This car has a good vin#. In Georgia, titles are not issued on cars before 1984, so this will come with a notarized bill of sale. High bidder to pay $500 non refundable down payment through paypal. The balance will be through bank check or bank transfer. You can see the car in person or send a pal to check it out. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer or it can be picked up in Savannah, Ga. Thanks a lot for looking and happy bidding!

I found a pair of headlight rings and a front turn signal housing, trans crossmember, a few pieces of stainless and a few double parts so far.

I just went out and looked at the car and noticed a good amount of rust out in the inside header panel. Also noticed an interior fiberglass patch about 2/3 back on the roof where the exterior in that area has some heavy pitting and a few small holes. If you want to see pics, I can email them to you.
